September Class by Mail Mini Album

I'm back!!! It was such a busy weekend and it just flew by for me! But I am back with info about my September Class by Mail project. This month the class is a 14 page 6x6 paperbag album. We all took lots of pics this summer, right? Well don't let them just sit on your computer card! Get them printed and in an album in just one evening! I think this would be a great project to do together a family! And it is cheaper than dinner and a movie!!

What the kit includes:
6x6 sewn paper bag album
16 sheets of 6x6 textured cardstock
pre-cut double-sided patterned paper
3 sheets of die cut adhesives from the Pina Colada Simply Scrappin kit
Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon
Tangerine Striped Ribon
Step-by-step instructions and pictures for putting your album together.

My favorite part about making paperbag albums is that you can put extra's inside the bags! Sometimes I put extra pics, tags with journaling, or even ticket stubs and maps!!! This album would be a fantastic gift for grandma and grandpa!!

This class will only be available until supplies run out so order your's NOW!

ETA: Thanks for the fantastic response. The class is sold out! I will hae a new class by mail in October!

The kits will begin shipping the week of September 22nd.

Let's Welcome Jill with some Candy!!!

I am so blessed to work with such a fabulous and talented group of women in my downline! And the line is continuously growing!! I have mentioned before that Jill had decided to join my family- but today she made it official! (I sure do love the fact that new recruits can sign up instantly on my website!)

Jill is no stranger to SU! products. She has been stamping longer than I have!!! She owns some old SU! stamp sets that I had never even seen before! Jill has been scrapping since the Creative Memories/Sticker age and has been a member of my scraper's club (read the post below for more info) for the past year.

But I have been friends with Jill for much longer than that. I met Jill on the very day that I found out I was having twins. They say that God puts people in your life for a reason!!! Jill was a ton of help with the twins when they were itty bitty! She continues to be that friend you text (sign of the ages) when you are having a crazy day!

Jill is the mother of 2 beautiful girls. She is also a Border Patrol wife.

I am so happy that Jill is now a part of my "family" and to celebrate- I thought it would be fun to give away some blog candy!!! I could not think of a more appropriate blog candy then to give the winner one of each of the projects my downline gals will be making tomorrow at out stamp together!!! All of the projects are made using new products from the SU! preview catalog. So here is a peek at just a few of the projects:

And there are more!!!! Here is what you need to do to win this candy: leave a comment on this post with a tip for Jill. In can be a stamping tip or a business tip. You don't need to be a demo to enter! I will let Jill pick a winner on Monday night! Good luck!

PS- Jill don't kill me for posting your pic!!! You look great!!!

Festive Friday

I made this card at the beginning of the week and I have been dying to share it with you! If you are new to my blog- I have made it my own personal challenge to post a new holiday project on my blog every Friday. And today's project features tons of stuff from the SU! preview catty!!!

I had to use the CUTE card sketch from the Got Sketch 101 class AGAIN!! I just love it so much!

I colored the nose in with a blender pen and Riding Hood Red Ink and then added Crystal Effect to give it dimension and make it shiny!!!

These buttons are new too and I love that they are the in colors!!! I made some faux threat with a thin strip of Kiwi Kiss cardstock.

Again- I love the idea of using this type of layout for a Christmas card because you can easily include a family pic, a favorite holiday recipe, a gift card, or just a note. Plus- the card fits right into a standard envelope.

The ladies in my downline are going to be making this card (and many more) when we get together next week!

Recipe: (All Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Deer Friends and Heard from the Heart (both in the preview!)

Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss

Ink: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip

Other: Chocolate Chip Marker, Blender Pen, Crystal Effects, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon, Circle punches, scallop circle punch, tab punch, buttons

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I am going to have to post some RAKS tonight after I get them photographed. And how do my photos look. I did some minor editing in my new Photo Shop Elements!!! BTW- my kids got be another set of copic markers for my bday! I will have to find some time to play with those!

Happy Stampin'!

Celebrate!!!!!

Happy Birthday, to me!!!! I am defiantly not one of those women who get depressed on their birthday! Cake and presents!!!! Yippee!!! I have no idea what we are doing for my birthday. I have a feeling that my husband doesn't either : ) But he did mention that we will be busy this weekend. Hmmm..... I bet he is scrambling at this very minute with what we can do in 110 degree heat that would be fun with 4 kids!!!

ETA: I just found out that my DH invited people over to the house for dinner. Due to my injury- my house is a mess!!!! I guess I know what I am doing on my birthday now : (

I have a fun and bright card to share today!!! I envisioned it being used as a birthday card but then I realized it would great for any number of occasions since it has a such a simple sentiment! This is another one of the projects that the gals will be making at my chipboard class tomorrow night.

Don't you just love the little chipboard tag and the star?!!! The card size is 3x6 and it is one of my favorite sizes for sure!!! You can make 4 of them from one sheet of 12x12 paper!

Recipe:

Stamps: Just Celebrate (Dangit! I just realized that the sentiment comes from a set in the retired mini!)

Paper: Jersey Shore DSP, and Bashful Blue

Ink: Brilliant Blue Craft

Other: Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon, Brads, Chipboard

I am not 100% happy with the way the color turned out in the first photo. But guess what?? My parents gave me Photo Shop Elements for my birthday!!!! So as soon as I get a Photo Shop for Dummies book- I will be able to edit my photos. I am really looking forward to learning how to do digital scrapping too! No need to worry- that would be another hobby in addition to my traditional scrapping. I could never replace that!

I am off to celebrate! Have a happy day!!

So Thankful for You

Wednesday. already?!! Yippee!! That means that tomorrow is my birthday!!!

Today I have a cute little 3x3 envelope and card to show ya using stamps and paper from the preview catty! I cased the idea from one of the make-and-takes from this year's cruise. (I didn't get to go- but I can still CASE the projects!!!)

The stamps are from a Hostess set, Window Dressings, that will be in the catty coming out in less than a month. I colored the image in with a Pumpkin Pie Marker and a blender pen with Kiwi and Riding Hood Red (2 of the new in colors). The DSP is from the new Bella Rose paper pack.

The fabulous ladies in my downline will be making this project (and many more) when we get together to stamp and chat next Friday!

So what do you think? Are you excited for the new catty? I will have it in my inky hands in just 2 weeks!

Foot Update: I was so sore last night after my busy day. But it is starting to heal and my hubby will be home today so I don't have to do all that hopping! Thanks for all the sweet emails and well wishes!

All you need is 9 1/2 toes!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday! Due to my toe injury (sounds kinda sissy, huh?) I was unable to walk. And what do you suppose I did all day??? Stamp, of course!!!! I made some awesome projects for some upcoming events that I am hosting. First, you wanna see my toe???

Well too bad! It's too painful to take the bandage off!!! And gross, I might add! But it is amazing what one can do with only 9 1/2 toes. This morning I got all 4 kids up, diapers changed, hair done, and dressed and broke up many fights. I also managed to feed the puppies. This was a tougher task since they wanted to check out my bandage! I then loaded all 4 kids into the car. Not easy when you can only wear one show and there are tons of rocks in the driveway! It was also not easy to climb in the back of the SUV to buckle up car seats.

But then we were off! I decided to swing through Burger King drive through for breakfast. Everything went well until I realized that they forgot one of the meals. So I tried to back up to the window- but a car came zooming around the corner and we had a near collision. So I drove to the front of the restaurant and decided to send my oldest (he's 4) in to ask for the meal we were missing. (Keep in mind that we live in AZ and the pavement is VERY hot on a shoeless foot.) My son couldn't open the door to get out because we had the child lock on it! Dang it!!! So I finally decided to hop in. Isn't it amazing what I will do for some food?! I was about half way to the door when the manager came out with my missing meal. He didn't apologize. He just asked "Are you ok?" Why wouldn't I be ok??? I am just hopping on one foot through the HOT Burger King parking lot with 4 preschoolers waiting in the car!!!!

Then I dropped the three oldest kids at their preschool. Lots of hopping. Very hot. And lots of rocks. Next I took the baby to her daycare. More hopping. And more rocks. I finally get back to the car and wouldn't you know it- I left my keys in the office!!!!! More hopping!!!

Now I am home. But just briefly. Today is my first day at my new job at Michael's! I see a lot more hopping in my future! On the plus side, I am going to have some kicka@@ muscles in my legs when all is said and done!!!!

More good news- my new computer is set up and all my pictures are back!!!!! So I am sharing with you another one of the cards we will be making at my Chipboard class this Friday night.

All the DSP is from the Crew Kids Girl Simply Scrappin' kit. I covered the chipboard heart with DSP and then sanded the edges. I also added a flower and brad from the pretties kit.

Off to work! See ya later!

New Stampin' Up! Rubber!!!!

LATE last night the UPS man came with my free stamps from the Sale-a-bration promotion and my order from the new preview catty! I made cards all day today! My SU! mojo was in the house!!! This card is going to be part of my Chipboard class next week. I cased this card from Jenn D.The flowers from this card are from the stitched exotics set. I have been wanting this set 4ever and getting it for FREE was the best!!!! Have I mentioned that I LOVE being an SU! demo?!
So what do you think of the patterned paper?!!! It comes from a pack in the preview catty called Bella Rose. And the color is Kiwi Kiss. It's going to be one of the new in-colors! I LOVE it!! Now I don't have to use Old Olive ALL the time. Just some of the time! And doesn't the Kiwi look nice with the Groovy Guava? Too bad the Guava will be retiring : ( I am stocking up on the Double Stitched ribbons and cardstock!!

Then centers of the flowers have a piece of chipboard covered in the DSP. Then I put the clear part of Build-a-Brad on top on that. It looks cool IRL!
Recipe:
Stamps: Stitched Exotics, Fun and Fast Notes
Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Groovy Guava, and Chocolate Chip
Other: Chipboard (On Board Accents), Groovy Guava Ribbon, Build-a-Brad
I am off to do some scrapping! I have had an idea in my head all day!!

A Pretty Thanks

I made this card about a month ago for my Pretties class. And I was sure that I posted it. But when I needed to find it today- it was no where to be seen. So if this is a repeat- I apologize! I just love the little orange flower! I love that it was white and I was able to make it match my cardstock perfectly by just coloring it with a marker!

I actually made a new scrapbook layout today that I am super proud of- but I can't share it yet. Sorry!!! The rest of the day I spent working on Class by Mail kits.

Thanks Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Live Your Dream

Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery

Ink: Old Olive

Other: Flowers from the Pretties kit, Pumpkin Pie marker, Rhinestore brad, Pumpkin pie striped ribbon

the Sweetest Thing

I'm back! Did you miss me? Sorry I didn't post again yesterday. Laynee has been home with me the last couple days because the air at her preschool has not been working. During the day I have to keep her and the puppies entertained and out of trouble while Scott sleeps! Then I thought I would get a lot done last night and I ended up with a bad migraine! I was in bed by about 6. I have a lot to catch up on- so hopefully you will see another post today!!!

This page is made special for Jill and Traci. Jill is going to be joining my SU! family in the next week or so!!! It's about time! They were both at my house on Friday ,night for my Fresh Cuts class and I promised them a scrapbook layout using the set. So here it is!!
The big flower is from the Pretties kit and I colored it with an aquapainter and Groovy Guava ink. The center is a circle punched from the DSP. Then I added the Build a Brad. The other 2 flowers were punched with the 5 petal punch from the Mellow Moss cardstock. I stamped the little flower from the Fresh Cuts set in Ruby Red on Whisper White cardstock. I cut them out and added them to the other flowers with a silver brad.
I used the background stamp from the Fresh Cuts set for the strip of Guava going across the layout.

Recipe:
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Ginger Blossom DSP, Mellow Moss textures, Groovy Guava Textured, Whisper White
Ink: Ruby Red, Groovy Guava
Other: 5 petal punch, Pretties kit, Circle punches, Build a Brad, Groovy Guava Ribbon, Eastern Elegance Rub Ons (for the title)

Hope you enjoy!!!

a movie and a class project!

My hubby and I went to a movie today!!! And we didn't bring the kids!!! We have not been to a movie together in 6 months!!! And guess what movie we saw...Sex in the City!!! My hubby was 1 of only 3 guys in the theater! And the movie was great! I laughed a lot. And I even felt a tad teary eyed a couple times! It made me wish that I had friends like Carrie. I guess it is different when you have kids though!

Now on to the card...

UPS showed up at 8:30 last night with my new Fresh Cuts stamp set. 10 minutes later, I had this card made! I am in love with the stamp set and with the note cards! And so I decided to use them in my class next month! And this is one of the projects they will be making. I'll have more info about how you can buy a long distance kit next week.

Right now I am getting ready to take 4 kiddos swimming at the city pool. It's crazy!

Don't forget to check out my post from yesterday about registering for blog candy!

Still no scrapbook layout...

Actually I didn't stamp at all yesterday! The day just flew by! I had fun talking twins with Kati yesterday and by the time she left it was already 2 hours past my lunch time! But I do have an idea for a scrapbook layout and as soon as the kids leave for school- I am going to scrap!!!!

Here is the last of the 5 cards that we will be making at my Pretties class in a couple weeks. This picture does this card no justice! The large flower was covered in versamark ink and then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder. It is so sparkly! And the small flower was stamps in Barely Banana ink with the polka dot background stamp! The sentiment and the butterflies in the background are from the Live Your Dream set (which is my fave right now!).

I am looking foward to pizza for dinner tonight! Can you believe my 1200 calorie diet allows for a Friday pizza dinner?!

Thursday, May 8, 2008

Day 3 of diet! And pretties!

It's Day Three!

Yesterday I did so well that I actually have 240 calories left in the evening and so I had a treat!! Plus I went to the gym yesterday! Thanks so much for the well wishes. I will be drawing a winner of the blog candy tomorrow evening so be sure to check out the post below.

I made this card for my Pretties class at the end of the month. I just love those hat pins in the pretties kit!And the DSP is my favorite- Afternoon Tea. The stamp set in Bloomin' Beautiful. I hope that my class will like this one! What do you think?

My sweet downline, Kati, is coming over this morning. She is pregnant with twin girls!! I LOVE twin girls!!! We are going to try and come up with a design for her baby announcements. And catch up! Can't wait! And hopefully I will get to that scrapbooking today.

Some simple cards!

Thanks for all the sweet words of encouragement on my post yesterday! And if you haven't checked out my post from yesterday- you better. I am giving away Designer Series Paper! Leave a comment before Friday evening.

I have a couple simple- but pretty- cards to share today. They both use the same color combo: River Rock, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava and Whisper White. I think that the colors look so soft and pretty together!

In this card I used my Always stamp set. I can't believe that I have hardly used that set! It is not even completely mounted!! And it is so pretty! The little flower I punched out with my Three for you punch. I have a confession. I bought that Three for You box nearly a year ago and this is the first time that I have used it! Very sad!! And look how sweet that little flower is. I actually smudged a little ink right there and needed something to cover it up!!! Sometimes the best creations start as a mistake!

With this card I use my Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. I wasn't crazy about this set when I first saw it in the Occasions mini. But I have changed my mind!!! I love coloring in the flowers! This time I stamped it two times and cut a few of the petals out and mounted them on top of my main image (poppin' flowers- as my hubby calls it!). I also used my It's Your Birthday set for the sentiment and added some pearls from the Pretties kit. The layout came from one of Jen's sketches a few weeks ago. Like this one?? It is going to be one of the 5 projects in my I feel Pretty Class at the end of the month. I only have a couples spaces left so email me right away if you are interested. sears1130@cox.net

I am hoping to get some scrapbooking done today for my clubs. See you tomorrow!

Big Girl

Here is my SU! creation- as promised!!!! I really didn't feel good yesterday and was starting to think that I would not get anything created. But then this idea came to me!!! This is going to be one of the projects that we make at my Simply Scrappin' class in May. Class participants will get to choose between the Crew Kids Boy and the GCrew Kids Girl Simply Scrappin' kit. I will have more of the layouts to show later this week!

Layout for Jersey Shore Class

This is the 2nd layout in my Simple Scrapbooking class . All the participants will get a package of the Jersey Shore DSP and we will be making 3 different simple layouts. I want to show them how to use the same sketch and make it look different. There is no reason to start from scratch every time you do a layout!

These pics were taken when we took the girls to Legoland last summer. They has soooo much fun and I wish we could go back this summer! I am slowly by surely getting these pics in the scrapbook!

Do you know how loved you are?

This is a layout that I made last week (while hubby was on Spring break!). Since it doesn't have any chocolate chip on it- I waited to post it. Isn't Kyler a handsome boy?!! These are pictures that we had taken for his 4th birthday. Again- they were taken at portrait innovations. Kyler waited over 2 hours to have his picture taken and he never complained and then posed for these amazing shots!
The page was so simple and I am going to use it for either my scrapbook class or for scrapbook club in April. I can't decide! I took an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of Whisper White cardstock and printed the saying (which I got from a set of stamps in the occasions mini) on my computer. I just left a space for the word "loved" and then stamped that with the Best Friends lower alphabet in Pumpkin Pie ink. That alphabet is so cute. I have owned it since last summer and just now mounted a few of the letters. What is my deal?!
I used the little stars from the set Classic backgrounds to stamp on the Brilliant Blue 12 x12 in Brilliant Blue ink. I used the large star from the same set to stamp for cute polka dot stars in Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue and Wild Wasabi. They are all attached with demensionals. I added a couple of strips of paper from the Jersey Shore DSP pack and a strip of Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon. I used a Brilliant Blue brad on those strips.
The middle photo is mounted on Brilliant Blue and then placed in the center of the Wild Wasabi strip. I mounted the other 2 pics directly to the Wild Wasabi. I like the way I highlighted my favorite of the three pics!
And that is all there is to it. What do you think?
Don't forget to sign up for my blog candy!
