Scrapbook Sunday

I have 4 kids and so I end up with a ton of birthday pictures. And I really dislike scrapbooking them! It can be so difficult to come up with a different and creative way to document an event that happens each year, for each kid! And since I am a little picture happy- I always have a ton of picture to sift through. My son turned 6 a couple of weeks ago and I am so relieved to have a layout ready for the scrapbook!

Now I suppose I have to start scrapping the big party he had with all of his friends.....

Scrapbook Saturday

I had a Stampin' Up! workshop last night at my house. It was my first workshop since I quit being a demonstrator nearly a year ago. I had one of my former downline members, Jill, come and demo some Valentine projects for us. I had a blast stamping with friends! And now I am anxiously awaiting my order which included 3 new punches, a new big shot die, a couple new packs of paper, a couple stamp sets, ribbon, buttons, and brads! And a lot of it was free with hostess benefits and my sale a bration benefits. I am excited!!! And if Jill says it is ok, I will show you the cards we made next week on my blog.

But for today I have another digi layout......

I made this layout to document the birth of my first nephew. Simple! And as my son would say "Easy Peasy."

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

From the Heart

Thanks for the sweet comments you have been leaving me this past week. I am so happy to be making time to stamp and blog again! So fun!

Today I have a very simple Valentine card to show you. I made a couple of these in just a few minutes!

I made the hearts with a SU punch. The pearls are from the SU Pretties kit. But guess what- I found half back pearls. Michaels sells them now! And they have adhesive backs. And they come in lots of colors. Sweet! Obviously someone from Michaels was reading my blog and decided to make me extra happy by selling half back pearls! ;) LOL

Strawberries!!!!

Growing up, I was in LOVE with strawberries! Anytime there were strawberries on a buffet or in a fruit salad, I was right there picking them all out. My grandma would take me strawberry picking and I would eat 2 for every 1 that I put in the basket. Yum! Straeberries were on sale at our grovery store this weekend and when my husband saw them, he knew to grab some! He knows me!

So here is a fun strawberry birthday card made with a Papertrey Ink stamp set. I think it is called My Punny Valentine.

I love the sentiment! "Birthdays are the Berry Best." I also made the same card with the sentiment "I love you berry much." Someone sweet will be the recipient of these cards!!!

Butterfly Bags

I was a sweet friend who always seems to be putting a smile on my face. A couple of weeks ago I was complimenting her on her cute boots. I mentioned that I had never owned a pair of boots. The very next time I saw her, she had a bag with 2 pairs of boots that she was handing down to me!!!! Happy Dance!!!! And they fit!!!! Well this dear friend makes jewlery and sells it. She loves all my crafts. She is own of those people who reuses every card I ever give her! Love it! So I decided I needed to make her some cute little bags that she could use to package up her cute jewlery for some special customers. This is what I came up with....

These are simple little bags made with little brown paper bags that I cut down to be 3 inches tall. I bought them at Michaels. Then I used the top note and the butterfly dies in my big shot to decorate the bags.

I just can't get enought of these butterflies!!! I have used this die too many times to count. So I am super excited about the Butterfly Embosslit in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I am having a Stampin' Up! party on Friday night and that bad boy is already on my order form!!!!

Have a happy day!

Scrapbook Saturday

I can't remember the last time I posted a Scrapbook Saturday! I am a completly digital scrapbooker now. And I love it. I have never felt so caught up and I really enjoy making them more than I originally thought I would. It has been a year since I made a traditional scrapbook layout!!! I have gone as far as getting rid of a lot of supplies and so storing my craft supplies has gotten easier!

Ok on to some of my recent layouts.....

Happy Scrapping!

Trio of Cards

I am posting 2 days in a row!!! Crazy!!! But I am taking advantage of the fact that I have my husband home so much more now that he has graduated from nursing school. Plus, this cold, rainy, windy weather is perfect for stamping. Today I have a trio of cards to show you. When I made them, I was thinking they if I get some vanilla envelopes (I'm out!) and package them up pretty, these cards would make a nice little gift for any one of my super sweet friends!

I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and the DSP is paper that SU! put out last Valentine's Day. I still have a lot!

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Valentines Treats for the Kids!

I am in the process of making 35 little sucker toppers for my kids to share with their friends in school for Valentines Day. I think they are turning out pretty cute. And it is a super cheep project. I got the stamp from Michael's for $1 and the ribbon spools are also from Michael's for $1!!!

The picture is a little dark. It has been rainy and stormy all week! Which is pretty big when you live in the dessert! We are actually under a tornado warning right now! So I stayed in my house stamping! Perfect!

I am still alive!!!

Ok so I have not posted in FOREVER. But the truth is that I stopped stamping completly during the fall. With the kids and my classes- l was just too tired, busy and not in the mood. But I am trying realy hard to get back to my stamping. Creating something always puts me in a good mood.

But I have to warn you.....I have not gotten any new stamps or paper in a very long time! I have a SU! party coming up this month and I can't decide what to get! So many good things!!!! I am thinking that butterfly embosslit will be mine soon!!!!

Here ia card I made about a week ago. I used it as a birthday card for a little girl but since there is no sentiment on the front, it could really be used for anything!!!  I am still addicted to those flatback pearls from the Pretties kit but yesterday when I was at Michael's I saw that the Recollections brand sells sheets of them with adhesive already on them. And in LOTS of colors. I might have to get some of those!!!

It is a very simple card. It is the first card I had stamped in about 3 months so I needed to go easy on myself! I did stamp the butterflies a second time on scraps and cut them out and pop them up with demensionals for a little interest.

Do you guys mind seeing my digi scrapbook pages? I have plenty of these but didn't know if anyone was interested.

I am making no promises about when I will be back.....but I did stamp several cards yesterday! Just have to photograph them!

Happy crafting!
