I'm Back...Kinda

I am physically back from Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention- but mentally- that is a whole 'nother thing!!! I had so much fun with my up-up-up line, Amy at the convention! We did make and takes and we met so many awesome scrappers!!! I just love sharing my love for Stampin' Up! You should have seen their faces when they saw what the Big Shot could do! And we also got to meet about a dozen other demos. I cannot believe how many demos are in the area that I have never met!

I am also VERY happy to welcome Jill Balok to my downline family. She just sat down at the make-and-take table and said "I want to do Stampin' Up!" Her husband was at the convention with her (what a good sport!) and at lunch he came up and asked me some more questions about his wife becoming a demo! I just had to laugh! About an hour later, she called to tell me that she had signed up on my website. It's that easy!!! My downline family continues to grow and I am so blessed to work with these awesome women! If you ever thought that you would like to make money doing something you love or if you just want to get a discount on all your papercrafting supplies- then you should really consider joining my team!!! Check out the link on my side bar!

OK- on to some stamping!!! At church today I found out that out new pastor, also a family friend, is in ICU with heart problems. So after a wonderful nap today- I made him a card and brought it to him. He loved it! I love when my stamping can bless others!!! It's awesome! But before I show you the picture, I have to warn you that my DH left my camera at my parent's house. I have had to resort to using my old broken camera!!! And then I decided I would fix them in Poto Shop but for some reason my program isn't working either!!!! So here is the card.

I CASED this one from Heather Summers. She posted a similar card back in January and I have been in love with it ever since!

Recipe:
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Muirfield DSP (YUMMY!), Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Water Color Paper
Ink: Black Staz On, Baja Breeze

I have some fun things to share- but blogger isn't letting me upload any pictures!!!!! I will let you in on a little secret- I am in the process of revamping my blog and I will no longer be using blogger when everything is finished : ) I will upload tomorrow. It may not be until the evening since I am going to Phoenix in the morning to set up my booth at the Creative Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention. Woo Hoo!!!

Hope everyone had a great day! Today was my DH's birthday and so we went to Olive Garden for dinner and had a Cold Stone cake for dessert!!!

So have you checked out on-line ordering yet?! I LOVE it!!! Hurry up and place your order so you can get the free tutorial that I will be emailing out next week!

I am off to get some rest before my big weekend at CKC!

The love affair with my new camera continues!

I have taken a 1000 pictures since getting my new camera less than a month ago!!! That is a new record for me! I just can't stop clicking!! Hello, my name is Jamie and I am addicted to my camera!

Today we aired up the kid's plastic pool and let them swim on the back patio. So, of course, I had to take pictures. Now, some friends have noted that I have taken tons of pics of my kids swimming. And I have scrapped a lot of them too. I just can't help it! The kids are happiest in water! Plus- outdoor pictures are so much nicer and when you live in AZ- you have to be in water to be outdoors during this time of year! So here are MORE swimming pics!

Festive Sunday

I completely forgot about Festive Friday this past week!!! If you are new to my blog- I am posting a Christmas project every Friday. So I am having a Festive Sunday!!! Today's card was super simple (which is very important if you plan to reproduce a lot of one card) and it uses one of the new in-colors- Baja Breeze. You will be able to order this color and so many more new stamps and accessories starting tomorrow!!

To make the blue background- I just took my Baja Breeze ink pad and placed it on the Whisper White cardstock. I gave it a little bit on a push. It doesn't cover perfectly- like a brayer would- but I like the effect. I also dyed the White Taffeta Ribbon by rubbing it in my ink pad with a sponge dauber. Then I dyed a little piece with a Black marker as well. Just keep in mind that it will take quite a while for this ribbon to completely dry. You can heat set it but be very careful not to heat for too long as the ribbon will burn.

Recipe:
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Basic Black
Other: White Taffeta Ribbon, Black Marker

Now you want to hear my exciting news?!! I got a new camera!!!! Mine has been broken for the past month (no zoom). So my hubby and I have been shopping around trying to find a camera that would best meet our needs. I wanted one that had a quick turn around between pictures. And I wanted to be able to take good indoor pictures. So we decided on a Canon Rebel! At first I was a little intimidated by the size of the camera. But then I started taking pictures, and it was LOVE!!!! Just check out this picture that my hubby took of Laynee! It has not been edited at all and it was taken inside with very little light!

Love it!!!!! I am roaming around the house taking pictures of everything I can find!

If you need a catalog- click on the buy now button. Your cost is $4.80 to cover the cost of shipping. The catalog is on me.

See ya tomorrow! I will be featuring some more new stamps and probably more pictures too!

Another Very Special Day!!!

Stampin' Up! convention ended last night : ( But they sure did end the convention on a high note!!! They had UPS show up with a free stamp set for all of the 6,000 convention attendees!!! Can you just imagine how loud it was when the UPS truck drove right into the convention center?!!!

My family is still in Salt Lake though. We stayed an extra day because today was too special to be spent driving!!! Two years ago today- my youngest- Laynee Madison was born!!!!

Isn't she a cutie?!!!
We spent the day together at a Children's Museum and a huge outdoor mall. We had her birthday dinner at TGI Fridays. We just put the kids to bed. Laynee fell asleep in a matter of minutes. It has been such a big week for all the kids! We will be hitting the road- back to Arizona- early tomorrow morning.
And Denise just reminded me that I never picked a blog candy winner!!! So sorry!! I got so excited about convention that lit slipped my mind! I will post the winner as soon as I get back. I also have lots of stampin' to show ya!

More news from convention....

I had another fun day!! I am having a blast hanging out with some uplines and a side line! I also got to meet a couple of my fellow Great Swaps Girls today. I had my picture taken with Danielle Lounds (Fat Cat Stamper) and Kristina Werner! The make-and-takes are fun and the classes are inspiring. Plus- they have made numerous announcements...

If you are a demo then you probably already saw the news- but if not- Stampin' Up! will now be carrying the Sissix Big Shot with exclusive Stampin' Up! dies!!!! As a scrapbooker- I am thrilled!!! I am going to get the alphabet so that I can start making chipboard titles in a flash!!! And the simple 3d projects that I will be able to make!!!! Demos can pre-order right now!!1 Customers- all of these products will be available to you in the holiday mini in the fall!

Have I mentioned how BEAUTIFUL the DSP is in the new catalog?!!! The Summer Picnic Paper from the mini is in there. Also, there is a version just like the Ginger Blossom- but in blues!!! The Halloween paper is soooo cute!!! Trust me- you are going to NEED a lot of paper from this catalog!

There are 2 hodgepodge kits- the silver and a vanilla!!!

OMG! You are going to go crazy when you see the rub-ons in this catalog!!!! I am especially fond of the Halloween and the Christmas set.

I absolutely loved the Summer Days Simply Scrappin' kit- but it is retiring because it has in-colors in it. But guess what- they have the same kit with different colors in the new catty!!! SWEET!!

On a more personal note- My husband has been such a super dad on this trip! Yesterday he took the kids to the zoo and then swimming. Today he took them to a Children's Museum for the entire day. Isn't he the best?! The kids are having a blast! The love the hotel elevator and revolving door the best. They are especially mesmerized by the fact that when we come back to our room at night- it is cleaned!!!

I just checked my email and I have over 300 messages waiting for me! But since this is my vacation and I want to spend my time with my family- I won't be able to respond to them until next week when I get home. So if you have sent me something- please be patient! I also have plenty of pics from the convention and my family- but I just didn't want to take the time to upload them this evening. I will!! I will be back soon!

Kindness from the Heart

I have a bunch of very sweet ladies in my stamping downline family!! And I am getting very excited about the Downline Stamp Together event that I am having at my house on Friday night. All, but one, of my downline will be coming over to stamp a bunch of projects with the new products from the preview catty. Gives us a chance to get some new samples made, share ideas, and just hang out. Sounds fun, huh? Can't wait! Here is another card we will be making!

I wasn't crazy about the Bella Rose paper when I saw it in the preview catty- but I have learned that I almost NEVER dislike SU! patterned paper. So I ordered it! And I am so glad that I did, because I can't stop using it!!!!!

If you are not an SU! demonstrator, you will be able to order this yummy paper and the awesome in colors on August 11th. If you don't have an SU! demo, please email me and I will get you on my mailing list so that you can receive specials, class by mail offers, and project ideas.

Recipe:
Stamps: Heard from the Heart
Paper: Bella Rose DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Other: white grosgrain ribbon, chipboard, NEW scallop punch, daubers

I am working my first real shift at Michael's tomorrow. For some strange reason, my manager has decided that I will work every Wednesday because that is when the truck comes. He wants me to be there for the unloading of 7,000 boxes. Shouldn't a big strong guy be doing that??? Tomorrow will also be the first day of my wearing closed toed shoes over my injured toe. I am currently giving my toe some pep talks. But the number "7,000" is really got him shaking in his band aid!

I have a summer, all SU! scrapbook page to share tomorrow!!! Nighty, night.

Beyond excited!!!!

Whoooo Hoo, Stampin' Up! made a huge announcement this morning!!!! Are you ready for this?!!!! Customers will soon be able to order SU! products directly from their demonstrator's website!!! I am not sure when the changes will take place but I am very excited to be a part of a company that continues to grow and change with the times. I will still hold lots of workshops and classes- so no worries there. But if you are scrapping in the middle of the night and realize that you are ruining low on snail- you will be able to log into my website and order more!!!

I am leaving for convention in exactly one week!!

I will be back with some eye candy. I am working on a scrap layout and my convention swaps.

No Girlz!

This is the card that I made for Melissa's challenge at the Pink Cat Studio blog. She wanted us to use Billy or Lilly and place them in a room. I chose to place Billy at his clubhouse!I made the wood background by cutting strips of More Mustard Cardstock and rubbing Close to Cocoa and Whisper White ink on them. I glued them on to a base and used my Chocolate Chip marker to add to nails. It didn't take long at all!!!
I colored Billy with my Copics and paper pieced his shirt with Jersey Shore DSP.
The door hinges are SU! hodgepodge hardware.

I didn't win the contest- but it is always fun playing with my Billy stamps. They always remind me of my son. He has three younger sisters!!!

I am soooo tired. I was running errands and shopping all day! The good news is that I can walk normally now!!!! My toe still hurts if anything touches it so I am not to keen on walking in large groups. More good news- I got a new dress to wear to awards night at convention! Have I mentioned that I am bringing my entire family to Salk Lake with me?!!! That is why I had so many errands- I have to get everyone ready. It will be a long car trip and so I bought new movies, coloring books, snacks, etc. I also had to shop for the girls' birthday gifts as their birthdays will all happen while we are in Salt Lake! I have not picked up a stamp today. I think that I hear the TV calling. I need a little R&R before I can be creative again!

Celebrate!!!!!

Happy Birthday, to me!!!! I am defiantly not one of those women who get depressed on their birthday! Cake and presents!!!! Yippee!!! I have no idea what we are doing for my birthday. I have a feeling that my husband doesn't either : ) But he did mention that we will be busy this weekend. Hmmm..... I bet he is scrambling at this very minute with what we can do in 110 degree heat that would be fun with 4 kids!!!

ETA: I just found out that my DH invited people over to the house for dinner. Due to my injury- my house is a mess!!!! I guess I know what I am doing on my birthday now : (

I have a fun and bright card to share today!!! I envisioned it being used as a birthday card but then I realized it would great for any number of occasions since it has a such a simple sentiment! This is another one of the projects that the gals will be making at my chipboard class tomorrow night.

Don't you just love the little chipboard tag and the star?!!! The card size is 3x6 and it is one of my favorite sizes for sure!!! You can make 4 of them from one sheet of 12x12 paper!

Recipe:

Stamps: Just Celebrate (Dangit! I just realized that the sentiment comes from a set in the retired mini!)

Paper: Jersey Shore DSP, and Bashful Blue

Ink: Brilliant Blue Craft

Other: Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon, Brads, Chipboard

I am not 100% happy with the way the color turned out in the first photo. But guess what?? My parents gave me Photo Shop Elements for my birthday!!!! So as soon as I get a Photo Shop for Dummies book- I will be able to edit my photos. I am really looking forward to learning how to do digital scrapping too! No need to worry- that would be another hobby in addition to my traditional scrapping. I could never replace that!

I am off to celebrate! Have a happy day!!

All you need is 9 1/2 toes!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday! Due to my toe injury (sounds kinda sissy, huh?) I was unable to walk. And what do you suppose I did all day??? Stamp, of course!!!! I made some awesome projects for some upcoming events that I am hosting. First, you wanna see my toe???

Well too bad! It's too painful to take the bandage off!!! And gross, I might add! But it is amazing what one can do with only 9 1/2 toes. This morning I got all 4 kids up, diapers changed, hair done, and dressed and broke up many fights. I also managed to feed the puppies. This was a tougher task since they wanted to check out my bandage! I then loaded all 4 kids into the car. Not easy when you can only wear one show and there are tons of rocks in the driveway! It was also not easy to climb in the back of the SUV to buckle up car seats.

But then we were off! I decided to swing through Burger King drive through for breakfast. Everything went well until I realized that they forgot one of the meals. So I tried to back up to the window- but a car came zooming around the corner and we had a near collision. So I drove to the front of the restaurant and decided to send my oldest (he's 4) in to ask for the meal we were missing. (Keep in mind that we live in AZ and the pavement is VERY hot on a shoeless foot.) My son couldn't open the door to get out because we had the child lock on it! Dang it!!! So I finally decided to hop in. Isn't it amazing what I will do for some food?! I was about half way to the door when the manager came out with my missing meal. He didn't apologize. He just asked "Are you ok?" Why wouldn't I be ok??? I am just hopping on one foot through the HOT Burger King parking lot with 4 preschoolers waiting in the car!!!!

Then I dropped the three oldest kids at their preschool. Lots of hopping. Very hot. And lots of rocks. Next I took the baby to her daycare. More hopping. And more rocks. I finally get back to the car and wouldn't you know it- I left my keys in the office!!!!! More hopping!!!

Now I am home. But just briefly. Today is my first day at my new job at Michael's! I see a lot more hopping in my future! On the plus side, I am going to have some kicka@@ muscles in my legs when all is said and done!!!!

More good news- my new computer is set up and all my pictures are back!!!!! So I am sharing with you another one of the cards we will be making at my Chipboard class this Friday night.

All the DSP is from the Crew Kids Girl Simply Scrappin' kit. I covered the chipboard heart with DSP and then sanded the edges. I also added a flower and brad from the pretties kit.

Off to work! See ya later!

New Compuer....No Pictures!!!

My computer has been on the fritz for a while. In computer land- it was kind of old- 4 years. So my DH was sick of my yelling at the computer and decided to order a new one!!! It came yesterday and it is up and running! I also got upgraded Internet service and a new motem. So I will be able to blurf at lightening speed now. But the problem....all my pics are on my old computer!!!! I had stuff to share today!!! But it is much too dark to take new pics. So tomorrow I will re-photograph or get DH to transfer the pics. So stay tuned!

The kids are in bed and DH is playing with the puppies....I think I am going to steal some scrapping time!!!

Without Mommy- the house would go to poop!

This morning I woke up with a really bad migraine and my DH was still at work. When the kids woke up- I asked them to just sit in my son's room and watch a DVD. That lasted for about 2 minutes before they all went downstairs. I heard them let the dogs in. The dogs went up and down the stairs a few times. I heard them fighting over bananas. And at one point the baby came into my room (how did she get out of her crib?) holding her wet diaper. About 45 minutes later my DH came home. Here is what he came home to:

-poop and pee all over the floor (presumably from the puppies)

-banana peels all over the floor

-kids sitting at the table eating strawberries. They were pulling the stems and leaves off and they were also on the floor

-one of the puppies was eating a strawberry on the carpet

-Candee (the other puppy) was eating a candy cane off the floor (Now seriously- where did that come from?!!!) I guess she has earned the nickname of Candee Cane!!!

-Makenzie had a dirty diaper and (not to gross anyone out) the poop was all the way up to her shoulders

-Laynee was diaper less and he couldn't find her diaper but did discover that her crib was wet

- And finally he found me laying in bed

So now he knows what would happen if I didn't get out of bed and take care of the kiddos!!! Once he got over the initial shock of what he found- he had to laugh. When he told me about it, my reaction was "Did you take a picture?" It would have been a great scrapbook page!!! And it i,s a good thing that I have the BEST hubby- or I might not be around to type this right now!
I have a Christmas card for ya today! I used a sketch from the Got Sketch class. I love this sketch!!!!
I think you could actually use the insert to share a holiday recipe, a family picture, a gift card, a little note, etc.
The patterned paper is just some random paper that I found in my stash. But it would look great with the SU! Dashing paper from last year. But I only have a few scraps left. I can hardly wait to see what this year's holiday paper will look like. I will have the catty in my hands in just 3 weeks!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Merry and Bright (last year's holiday mini), Just Celebrate (Occasions Mini)
Paper: random patterned paper, Real Red, Whisper White, Garden Green
Ink: Black, Real Red
Other: Lipstick Red Copic, Circle punches, scallop punch, tab punch, red grosgrain ribbon, staple

a little of everything!

I am so sorry that I have been such a bad blogger this week! My cousin has been visiting from New York. We have been keeping busy and I have been sharing my craft room. Even though I haven't been blogging, I have still been creating. So I have plenty to share in the next several days!

I made all the invitation for my girls' birthday party. The twins are turning 3 on July 30th and Laynee will be 2 on August 3rd. So we will be having one party to celebrate all 3. Gosh- I want to cry just thinking about how old my "babies" are getting. Anywho- here are the invitations:
The layout for this card came from the Got Sketch 101 class. Isn't it a cute layout?! I just LOVE how the invitations turned out!

Recipe:
Stamps: Life's a Breeze (the flip flop), and Bo Bunny's Aloha stamp set (YUMMY!!!)
Paper: Soft Sky, Old Olive, Whisper White, and patterned paper by Bo Bunny
Ink: Real Rust, Barely Banana
Other: Scallop Punch, Circle Punches, Soft Sky Ribbon, Slot Punch, Tab Punch, Staples, Computer Font (for the info on the insert)

As I was working on these invites- it occurred to me that I have not scrapped their birthday party from last year yet!!! All my friends know that I HATE scrapping birthdays. I don't know why- but I do!!! But I saw a cute sketch in my Page Maps book by Becky Fleck. I loved that I could scrap quite a few photos on just one page!

My hubby took me to a scrapbook store about an hour from our house. I was just looking for some paper for the party invites and he came up to me and said (and I am quoting) "Make sure you get a lot because you get 20% off of everything because it is your birthday month." Isn't my hubby the coolest!!! Trust me- I left with plenty!!! Including everything in this scrapbook layout and even some more organizational tools for my scrap room!

Recipe:

Paper: Patterned paper by Senic Route, Old Olive

Other: Chipboard by Senic Route, Thickers by American Crafts, and some candle embellishments by Me and My Big Ideas

I have plenty more crafts to show. But I am saving some for another day (including an ADORABLE 4th of July page for tomorrow- yes I already scrapped it!!!). But now I have some pics to share from our week!

Over the weekend, my parents came down and we all took the kids to the pool. They had a blast!!!! Which is why we decided that the birthday party had to be at this pool!
Here is Kyler jumping in the deep end of the pool! I am so proud since he wouldn't even sit on the stairs last year.

Here is Laynee jumping to my mom. Laynee is fearless!!! You won't even be looking at her and she will jump right on you. Do you remember this pic from earlier in the summer when she was scared of the water?! A month can sure change things!
And here is my fishy- Kenzie. She LOVES going swimming. She doesn't do much jumping in- but she loves to swim around in the area that has a about a foot of water.

A couple of nights ago, my cousin watched all of the kids and Scott and went on a date. At first we wanted to just go see a movie at the local theater. But we couldn't find anything that really interested us. So my DH suggested a Diamondbacks baseball game in Phoenix. I was 100% sure I wanted to go. But it turned out to be sooo much fun. Too bad the dbacks lost!!!
Now time for some puppy pics!
I am actually happy that my hubby decided to adopt the 2nd puppy. It is a lot of work doing the potty training- but at least they wear each other out! I no longer have to take the puppy on jogs around the block (in 112 degree heat) just to get him to sleep. But the female puppy, Candee, is kind of lazy! She loves to sleep. And she hates having to walk around much. She won't walk on a leash. She also loves to eat. And she has been known to just sleep in front of the dish of food. I think it is so funny!! I joke that she is part cat!!
I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th. I will be back tomorrow for sure with a scrap page and a Christmas card!!!

Tag I'm it!!!

Ever since joining the Great Swaps Girls- I feel like I have made a new group of stamping buddies- even though we have yet to meet! And one of those buddies, Cyndy Lawrence, has tagged me! You have to check out her blog! She is AMAZING!!!
So now I have to tell you 7 random or weird fact about me:
1. Some people are addicted to Starbucks. I am addicted to Wendy's! Seriously- I know everyone who works there.
2. I LOVE coke. But not coke out of a can. Yick. I LOVE fountain cokes!!!!
3. I cannot eat rice without applesauce. If we run out of applesauce- then I don't eat the rice.
4. My kids probably think that they are movie stars and I am the Paparazzi. I take about 500 pics per month. (Even more during the month of December!) I have taken pics of my toilet (don't ask), my purse, and most recently- a bottle of ketchup.
5. Speaking of ketchup- I like it on eggs, mac and cheese, chicken, mashed potatoes, and of course- fries from Wendy's!
6. I watch the Young and the Restless every day. It is set to record on Tivo and I never miss an episode. I have been watching since attending a babysitters house in the 3rd grade.
7. I have 4 kids and 2 puppies- and it is perfectly quiet at my house right now. Now that is weird!!!
Now I have to tag 7 different people:
Check these blogs out! They are awesome!!!!
I got a bunch more of the projects done from my To Do list. So check back tomorrow as it is too dark to take pictures right now.

Busy weekend!

Sorry- but I don't have anything to show! I taught class on Friday night. On Saturday morning I took the twins and Cooper to his first puppy class. (Cooper did fine. The twins- not so fine!) After puppy class, I had one of my scrapbook clubs. Then when I got home we made a spur of the moment decision to go to the movies! This morning we had church. Then we picked up the house and my parents came over. They took the kids to swim in the backyard and I made Chicken Parmesan for dinner. After dinner my mom taught Kenzie some ballet. It was VERY cute.

And now I am looking around my disastrous stamp room and feeling very unmotivated!!! I have to clean up a bit before I can get my stamping mojo on!

I will have something to show tomorrow!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

And our family keeps on growing!

And this time it is 4 feet at a time! Introducing Candee!

Yes- we adopted ANOTHER puppy!!! That's 2 puppies in 2 weeks! We went back to animal control today to get Cooper's shot record and they mentioned that they still had his sister. And they couldn't keep her much longer. About 30 minutes later we left we both dogs!! No more going to animal control for my hubby! He likes dogs too much!! It is the same reason I can't volunteer in the church nursery. I like babies too much that DH fears I will take one of the babies home with me!!! j/k!!
Anyway- Candee has been very mellow. But Cooper has been ecstatic! He won't leave her alone for a minute!
On to a stamped project. I actually made this last weekend- but wanted to wait until my friend mailed them out before I shared. She asked me to make birthday invitations for her daughter's 4th birthday. They are having a sprinkler, kiddie pool, slip and slide party.

The DSP and cardstock (except for white) come from the Summer Days Simply Scrappin' kit. (Have I enabled anyone to get that yet?!) The sand pail is from the Life is a Breeze stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink. And I am loving the yummy striped ribbon! The actual invite was printed on my computer and matted on Wild Wasabi cardstock. Isn't it fun? I think that it screams summer!

Where there is Love

Before I share my layout- I just have to tell you my good news!!!! I got an email today from Cards magazine and they are going to be publishing 2 of my cards in their November issue!! I am doing the happy dance! And I needed something to brighten me up after stepping in a puddle of puppy pee (say that 10 times fast) and drinking sour milk (for the 2nd time in just a few days)!!! I can't wait for the July Issue of cards magazine as my first published card ever is in there!

Now on to a scrapbook layout. I made this with one of the sketches from the Got Sketch 101 class. It has so many more elements than I am used to and I LOVE that! (Just wait until you see the next layout!)
I made this with the Summer Days Simply Scrappin kit. I begged Jill to let me have her kit to make some invitations for a friend. (No worries- I ordered her a new one!) And after I finished the invites, I decided to use some of the leftovers for a layout.

I just had to add some flower fusion and some brads!!!! But there is no ribbon!!! Did your jaw just drop? No worries! The ribbon will be back!

This cool little bracket shape was made with a template that they gave us in the class. I just printed it on to some DSP and then cut it out. The journaling around it says: the Sears family: full of laughter, full of energy, but most of all full of love. I just wrote it with my white gel pen.
I am off to work on some swap cards (hello GSG!!!) and the next sketch for the class! And I have MORE scrapping to show you tomorrow!!

Summer Days

I went to Jill's house to scrap again last week. She was making a mini album with the Summer Days Simply Scrappin' kit. I was drooling over the paper! When she was done with her mini album (very cute and quick to make!) she had some patterned paper and stickers still left from the kit. So I made this 12x12 layout for her!
I added some of my Flower Fusion and some of her Rhinestone Brads but everything else came from the kit!
I made her promise to take some pics of her adorable girls at their swim lessons to finish the page! We made another page together. I will have to show ya next week!

Last night I ordered the kit for myself! I just HAD to have it!!!

I have received many inquiries as to why I do not do more 2 page layouts and so I am putting my response here for everyone to see. I love 2 page layouts! I love 1 page layouts! I used to only scrap 2 pagers. But I found it tough. I often had trouble filling the second page. I LOVE big titles so the first page was always a breeze. So in my early scrapbooks- I love the first pages and am not happy with the 2nd page. So I finally gave up the rule that I had set for myself. Now I get more scrapping done! If a 1 page layout comes to me- I go with it! Some people say that they just have too many pics to do one page layouts. Personally- I don't scrap all my pics. (I take about 500-600 per month.) But I also find it quicker sometimes to make two 1 page layouts than to make a 2 page layout. It just depends on my inspiration! And honestly- I am having so much more fun scrapping! So tell me what you gals think. Do you do 1 page layouts or 2 page layouts or a combination of both?
