Gratitude Journals

I am such a bad blogger!!!!! So sorry!!!!! I won't bore you with excuses!!!

Do you remember this fun little jornal that I designed to be a make-and-take for my MOPS group? Last Friday, they all got to make them! It was so fun to watch all these women get creative and crafty!!! And the final products were VERY cute! I had my camera with me- but didnt have a chance to take any pictures until almost everyone was gone : (   But I did get pics of two journals that my dear friend, Vicki, made. Great job, Vicki!!!!

This one was made with some very old Stampin' Up paper. I think it was called Sarah. The flower is by Making Memories.

This one is made with some Marcella K paper and the flower is from the Stampin' Up! Pretties kit.

The Amazing Grace sentiment is from a stamp set by Papertrey called Women of Life.

I am going to schedule a post for tomorrow right now!!!!! So be sure to come back!!!!

Licking the Spoon

Sorry- but this week has been CRAZY!!!! I am doing a make-and-take with 50 women tomorrow morning and I spent most of my week cutting paper! My arm is actually sore from cutting!!!!! Crazy!!!!

I really needed a 30 minute break from that project today....so I decided to make a digi page with pics that I took yesterday when baking with my girls!

Isn't that fun!!!! Everything but the Brown Background paper came from a kit called Baking Memories by Melissa Bennett. I got it at the Sweet Shoppe. I have lots of baking pics....so you will be seeing more of this one!!!

I am hoping to get caught up this weekend and schedule posts for next week......just in case life happens.....AGAIN!!!!

Have a fabulous weekend and make some scrapable memories!!!!

Pretty Sophia

I really mean to post this yesterday!!!! I had such good intentions. And then I forgot!!!! My brain is just getting a little slower every day!!! Anyway....I made this little easter basket tag for a friend's daughter. It took me forever to do the paper piecing! But I think it was worth it!!!!

The stamp is from Paper Pretties and it is called Hipity Hop Sophia. I colored her with my Copics.....but I need so much more practice with that!

Hope you had a great Easter weekend!!!!

Last night I really felt like digi scrapping!!! And I am happy with the result....

Another Pretty Notecard!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE the pretties kit from Stampin' Up? My favorite part of the kit is the big flowers!!! A couple of days ago I had a post where I colored it with markers and for today's post- I stamped on the flower!

I used the Sweet Slumber Specialty Paper. It is thick patterned paper so you can use it for the base of a card. This card is 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide. But I cut 1/2 an inch off the front so that you could se a little of the backside peeking through.

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dor Background

Paper: Sweet Slumber Specialty Paper

Ink: Baja Breeze

Other: Pretties kit, buttons, So Saffron ribbon, circle punch

Taking a break from Facebook to post a card!

Can you believe that I made it back 2 days in a row?!!! Pretty soon though I need to stamp or I am going to run out of goodies to show you.

Today I have a fun spring card. Can you believe that it is 92 degrees here today!!!! The kids have been swimming in the backyard. I think Spring may have skipped us!

This card took me a little while because I stamped the tree branch in Close to cocoa and cut it out with an Oval Nestie. Then I stamped the tree again in Kiwi Kiss and cut out the leaves and put them on my tree with demensionals. The flowers were punched out with the Three for You Punch and then I added the white center with my White Gel Pen.

Here is a closer look...

Stamps: Cheep Talk

Paper: Rasberry Tart, Whisper White, Rose Red

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss

Other: Big Shot, Oval and scallop oval nesties, white gel pen, Pretty in Pink Tafetta Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelets, Rhinestone Brads, Three for You Punch

In the meantime, I wanted to show you the save the date cards I made for my brother and his finacee. I decided to go digital since it will be easy and cheap for them to print!! Top Note Journal

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE my Big Shot?!!!! And my very favorite die is the Top Note die. (a close second would be the new butterfly die!) I am going to be leading a craft at my MOPS group in a few weeks and this is what I came up with...

It is a Gratitude Journal made with the Top Note Die and some chipboard!

The inside is filled with copy paper that I cut with the die as well....

Everyone in my MOPS group will be able to decorate their's any way they want. I used the Butterfly die, a large flower from the Pretties kit and some buttons. I think it looks happy! Now I can fill it will all the things that I am grateful for. It will make for a nice read on those challenging days!!!

Speaking of challenging days- I am so tired!!!! Being a full time stay at home mom is exhausting! I think I might be trying to do too much with the kids. But I find that when they are busy- they fight less. And that makes for a happier mommy!!! I am going to go stamp now for therapy and then go to bed early!!! Happy Stamping!

Recipe:

Stamps: Out on a Limb (Papertrey Ink), Polka Dot Background Stamp

Paper: Tea Party DSP, white copy paper

Ink: Certainly Celery

Other: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Pretties Kit, Top Note Die, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Latte Buttons, Chipboard, Jump Ring

Some Wedding Favors.....

I have a couple wedding favor ideas for you today, but I have to warn you that they are in a somewhat odd color combo!!! I have a friend who is making favors for her brother's wedding and the colors are Only Orange and Glorious Green. Yikes!!!! I don't think that I have EVER used those colors!!!! Especially not together!!!! But I just sent with it. It's not my wedding!!!!

This little box was made with 2 of the scallop envelope dies. You just have to cut the bottom flaps so that they are about the same width as the side flaps.

And this one was made using the Baskets and Blooms die and the Polka Dot Background stamp. I think it is kinda cute for a birthday maybe. The tag is blank now but we thought that it could include the bride and groom's name and the date of the wedding....

My friend sent the pics to his brother and they just weren't what he was looking for. Oh well! It was still fun to get my Big Shot out and make a couple projects with some tough colors!!!!

I hope you enjoy!!!! My hubby is watching the kids for a bit so I need to get stamping!!! I am hoping it will relax me!

Here comes Peter Cottontail!!!

Whooo Hoo! I made time for some creative projects today!!! I am starting to get better at my new schedule. But I am going to admit that I am exhausted and have daily headaches!!!

Yesterday I spotted this super cute bunny basket that Jenn made and I just had to make one of my own!!!!!

Isn't it fun?!!!! The basket itself is just 4 of the scallop envelopes cut with my Big Shot. I used sticky stip to put them all together. Then I used this template to cute the bunny head out. I made the feet with oval nestibilities because I don't have the wide oval punch.

Here are some more pics of it....

I just had to add a pom pom to his butt!

My kids said that my bunny was "cool." That's good enough for me!!!

I have a couple other 3d projects to show you tomorrow that are VERY differnt than this one!!! Are you curious?

Recipe:

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP

Other: Big Shot, Scallop Envelope Die, Small Oval Punch, 1 linch circle punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Oval Nestibilities, Googly Eyes, Pom Pom, Black Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, SU ribbon

No joke, I have been working on this card for a couple of days!!! I just couldn't quite get it right! I kept taking it apart! And it took an entire day to decide on what stamp set to use for the main image!!! In the end, I am ok with the card and happy to have it finished!!!

Nothing fancy!!! I do love the color combo. I just got the DSP and I am loving it!!!!

I have some 3d projects that I have to work on tomorrow so hopefully I will be back really soon!!!

Play Ball

Every time I come into my office- I have the good intention to stamp. I want to!!! I really do!!! But here's the thing...I think I need some new stamps ; )  I am kinda bored with what I have and I think my creativity would be sparked by some new stamps!!!! Any suggestions on a nice spring/easter type stamp set?????

So after I stare at my stamps for a while, I always seem to end up on my computer playing in Photo Shop Elements. And befoer I know it, I have another digi scrapbook page!!! I have been taking so many pics lately and I am doing more scrapbooking than I can ever remember!!!! This digi stuff makes it so fast and inexpensive. So here is my latest creation...

I took these photos on Monday when my hubby and I took the kids to a Diamondbacks Spring Training game down in Tucson. Can you believe that I have already scrapped them?!!! I am about the start working with my St. Patty's Day pics!!! I am loving this baseball kit. I got it from the Sweet Shoppe and it is called Peanuts and Cracker Jacks.

I actually went searching for baseball kits when I decided to sihn my son up for a 3 day baseball camp. Yesterday was the first day. And it was entertaining. He looked like he would make a good Right Fielder ; ) While everyone stretched out, he just stood there!!! And when they would throw a ball to him, he would duck. But the best part was that by the end of the 2 hour camp- he was down on the ground, with his butt sticking up in the air while the other boys were playing!!! It was funny to watch! After that, my mom and I decided to go get him a tee and a bat. So yesterday afternoon we took all of the kids to the park to play t ball. My daughters loved it. My son spent most of the time just sitting in the grass. Then last night before bed he said to me "Can I please go to school tomorrow instead of baseball camp?" Awww. I am guess he is not going to be an All Star baseball player any time soon!!! Oh well!!!! I won't let this fun kit go to waste!

I promise to start stamping. I really do!!!!

All About Me

Do you want to know some of my dirty little secrets???? Of course you do! I made a digi scrapbook layout that documents "Me" at this very moment. Check it out...

I often make layouts like this about my kids. Especially right around their birthdays. I documents all of their favorite shows, foods, toys, satyings, etc. But I rarely ever scrapbook about myself. In fact, I am not usually in an of the pictures after spending a day with my family. I am always behind the camera. But I believe that as my kids grow older, they will want to know more about their parents. So I am doing my best to remember to scrapbook about myself and my husband as well. This page was easy to put together as I used a Quick Page layout that I got. I just added the details. Fun!!!

Now go scrap about yourself! What are you waiting for?!!!

I have done some stamping. But nothing good enough to share with you!!! I showed the card to my husband and he said that "something is missing." So I am back to the drawing boards!!!! Soon! Cross your fingers for some stamping mojp (and energy) for me!

Why are you still reading this? You are supposed to be scrapping about yourself!!!!

Adorable Danika and a FREE Digi kit and wallpaper!

Super simple digi layout for you today!!!! And the best part (well other than the sweet pic of my daughter) is that I used a FREE kit to make the page!!!! If you want to download it, click HERE. But if you are a paper scrapper, this page would be easy to achieve that way as well. You could use ribbon, dsp, flower fusion and brads. Then you could stamp the title or even computer generate it.

Here is the screen saver/wallpaper on my computer for March...

It uses the same kit!!!! But....you don't even have to create this one!!! Click HERE to download the desktop. Add your own pictures and you're done!!!

Have a creative day!
