My kids INSIST that we have party hats for EVERY birthday celebration!!! It has just become a tradition around our house. I wanted to make sure and scrap this tradition. Plus, these pics are so sweet and make me smile every time I see them! Speaking of birthdays, tomorrow we have a birthday party for Danika, Makenzie and Laynee!!! I guess we best get home from California so we can party with friends and family!

Disney Week- Day 5

Today we are going to the beach!!! The kids are very excited about that! And then tomorrow we will be heading back home. The end of a vacation is always bitter sweet. I am just so happy that we were able to have this special trip with our kids!

Here are the last 2 of the scrapbook layouts....

I made all of these pages 6x6. I put b4 together to make a 12x12 document and then sent them to Costco to print. Then I cut them apart and glued them into a paperbag album! I added some ribbon and some tags for additional jouraling and gave it to my friends as a keepsake of their family vacation! Very fun and fast and cheap!!! Now it's time to make an album for my family! : ) I hope you enjoyed!

Pretty Thank You

My card today uses the Paper Pretties SOTM from June. I don't know the name : ( It didn't have a label on it. But it has become my very favorite Paper Pretties stamp so far!!!!! This one really reminds me of my little girls since I always dress them in dresses and big hair bows!!!!  These will be great for their birthday thank you notes.

Ok here is a close-up of the coloring. I have been practicing, but still have a ways to go!

I just love paper piecing her dress!!!!! So fun!!! The paper is a retired pack from Stampin' Up! And the colors are Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, and Regal Rose.

I have a scrapbook page for you tomorrow!

Thank You

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger this week. I let life get the best of me and then when I got behind I had trouble motivating myself to back in the groove! Thanks for sticking it out!

Since my birthday was last week and I have 3 of my kids bdays coming up next week, I have been busy making thank you cards. Here is a simple one that I CASED from Andrea Walford. I changed mine up a bit, but the inspiration came from her. And I used the Season of Friendship stamp set AGAIN! I just love that set!!!!

The colors are Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, and Regal Rose. I am a huge fan of this color combo!!!!

See you tomorrow!

Christmas in July- Day 4

Here is the fourth card that I made in Amy Smith's class. It's pretty simple but took a while to cut out all those trees!

My favorite part of this card is the embossed dots on the card base. Used the Big Shot for that! We also got to use a new punch for the sentiment.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!! I am getting all excited because tomorrow is my birthday!!! Yay!!!!

See ya!

Christmas in July- Day 3

Here is another simple Christmas card from the class I took from Amy Smith last weekend....

Isn't that patterned paper beautiful?! I flipped right by it in the new catalog but then I fell in love with it when I saw it at Amy's house. I just have to get used to mixing Glorious Green and Old Olive......

Have a nice night!

Christmas in July- Day Two

The card today is one of my very favorites from the class that Amy Smith taught on Saturday. I love that it is simple enough to make in bulk and yet it has that extra special touch! Plus, it uses the Big Shot and I love that thing!!!

The stamp is from a new hostess set called Christmas Punch. The patterned paper is new too (and gorgious!!!) and called Merry Moments. The front of the card was cut with the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Curly Label die. The the sentiment was punched with the Curly Label punch and placed on the inside of the card. It was very simple and fast!!!

I will be back with another one tomorrow!

Christmas in July- Day One

Sorry I am soooo late today! But, like I said, I have a Christmas card to show you each day this week. And they all use some stuff from the new Stampin' Up catalog. Now I cannot take credit for these cute cards!!!! I made them at a class on Saturday taught by a great friend, Amy Smith. I have showed you some of her work before. She is very talented : )

This first card uses the new set Circle Circus and the color combo is Real Red, Old Olive, and More Mustard.

Isn't it cute? And you could really use just about any sentiment with this card!

Come back tomorrow for another Christmas card!!!!

Sorry....

I am running a little behind getting my posts ready for this week. But I do have Christmas cards to show you all week. I will have one up later this afternoon so come back!!!!

Why I don't stamp more.....

I have a scrapbook layout for you today! I spend waaaaay too much ime on Facebook these days. So I thought it would be fun to include a layout about that in my album. (Facebook is the reason I don't get to stamp as much as I should!) The little conversation bubbles include samples of my Facebook updates from the past couple of months.

Have a happy Thursday!

Christmas in July

I know that some of you think I am a little strange for making Christmas cards when it is 110 degrees outside. But come December- I want to have lots of cards ready to go so I can focus on other things like baking and shopping!!! So here is another card that I made using my copic markers. I am not going to lie- this card took me FOREVER to make!!! Ha ha!

The stamp set is from Stampin' Up! and is called Holiday Line Up. I used this one quite a bit last year. I think all the images are adorable and fun to color when you are in the mood!!!

Time to Celebrate

I have always loved the Stampin' Up! set A Little Birdie because it i so much fun to paper piece. But I got brave on this one and colored the birdies with my copic markers. Fun! It's a little hard to read the sentiment in this picture but it says "A little birdie told me....it's time to celebrate!"

BTW- the patterned paper is retired and called Maine Blueberry.

Howdy!!!

I got a few new Copic markers and so I have been busy coloring!!! The card today uses the Billy stamps from Pink Cat Studios. I just love this one because he always reminds me of my little guy. It took quite a while to color him but I am so very pleased with the end result!!! I am finally getting better with these copics!!

Have a Happy Monday!

Pictures from the 4th!!!

Here are just a couple pics of my kiddos from yeasterday!!!

You will be seeing these on a scrapbook page soon!!!! Hope everyone had a great day!

Season of Friendship Day Five

And for my last Season of Friendship card (for now) I have a Christmas card. Last year I told myself that I would work on Christmas cards through out the year so that I wouldn't feel so pressured in November and December. Well that hasn't happened!!! This is my first Christmas card for the year!!! It was CASED for several on splitcoast.

This is such a simple Christmas card! It would be very easy to reproduce!!! My favorite part is the "snow" on the branches that I made with a white gel pen. Super simple!

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend! I will be back tomorrow with a scrapbook page.
