Simple Pretty Notecard!

I am going to post quickly. I had a LONG day today. I took the kids to Costco and to the mall to see the Easter bunny. Then I also had to take my son to piano lessons. I am ready to hit the hay!!! But I wanted to quickly show you another one of the cards I made over the weekend.

I love this little notecard. The size is 3x6.

Don't you love that great big sunflower?! It is one of the large white flowers from the pretties kit. All I did was color it with a So Saffron marker. I added that fun Chocolate Chip Brad and I had a sunflower!!!

In the meantime, I wanted to show you the save the date cards I made for my brother and his finacee. I decided to go digital since it will be easy and cheap for them to print!! Top Note Journal

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE my Big Shot?!!!! And my very favorite die is the Top Note die. (a close second would be the new butterfly die!) I am going to be leading a craft at my MOPS group in a few weeks and this is what I came up with...

It is a Gratitude Journal made with the Top Note Die and some chipboard!

The inside is filled with copy paper that I cut with the die as well....

Everyone in my MOPS group will be able to decorate their's any way they want. I used the Butterfly die, a large flower from the Pretties kit and some buttons. I think it looks happy! Now I can fill it will all the things that I am grateful for. It will make for a nice read on those challenging days!!!

Speaking of challenging days- I am so tired!!!! Being a full time stay at home mom is exhausting! I think I might be trying to do too much with the kids. But I find that when they are busy- they fight less. And that makes for a happier mommy!!! I am going to go stamp now for therapy and then go to bed early!!! Happy Stamping!

Recipe:

Stamps: Out on a Limb (Papertrey Ink), Polka Dot Background Stamp

Paper: Tea Party DSP, white copy paper

Ink: Certainly Celery

Other: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Pretties Kit, Top Note Die, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Latte Buttons, Chipboard, Jump Ring

Some Wedding Favors.....

I have a couple wedding favor ideas for you today, but I have to warn you that they are in a somewhat odd color combo!!! I have a friend who is making favors for her brother's wedding and the colors are Only Orange and Glorious Green. Yikes!!!! I don't think that I have EVER used those colors!!!! Especially not together!!!! But I just sent with it. It's not my wedding!!!!

This little box was made with 2 of the scallop envelope dies. You just have to cut the bottom flaps so that they are about the same width as the side flaps.

And this one was made using the Baskets and Blooms die and the Polka Dot Background stamp. I think it is kinda cute for a birthday maybe. The tag is blank now but we thought that it could include the bride and groom's name and the date of the wedding....

My friend sent the pics to his brother and they just weren't what he was looking for. Oh well! It was still fun to get my Big Shot out and make a couple projects with some tough colors!!!!

I hope you enjoy!!!! My hubby is watching the kids for a bit so I need to get stamping!!! I am hoping it will relax me!

Here comes Peter Cottontail!!!

Whooo Hoo! I made time for some creative projects today!!! I am starting to get better at my new schedule. But I am going to admit that I am exhausted and have daily headaches!!!

Yesterday I spotted this super cute bunny basket that Jenn made and I just had to make one of my own!!!!!

Isn't it fun?!!!! The basket itself is just 4 of the scallop envelopes cut with my Big Shot. I used sticky stip to put them all together. Then I used this template to cute the bunny head out. I made the feet with oval nestibilities because I don't have the wide oval punch.

Here are some more pics of it....

I just had to add a pom pom to his butt!

My kids said that my bunny was "cool." That's good enough for me!!!

I have a couple other 3d projects to show you tomorrow that are VERY differnt than this one!!! Are you curious?

Recipe:

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP

Other: Big Shot, Scallop Envelope Die, Small Oval Punch, 1 linch circle punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Oval Nestibilities, Googly Eyes, Pom Pom, Black Marker, Pretty in Pink Marker, SU ribbon

the card that took forever!

No joke, I have been working on this card for a couple of days!!! I just couldn't quite get it right! I kept taking it apart! And it took an entire day to decide on what stamp set to use for the main image!!! In the end, I am ok with the card and happy to have it finished!!!

Nothing fancy!!! I do love the color combo. I just got the DSP and I am loving it!!!!

I have some 3d projects that I have to work on tomorrow so hopefully I will be back really soon!!!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cheers to You

Paper: Sweet Slumber DSP, Baja Breeze, Watercolor

Play Ball

Every time I come into my office- I have the good intention to stamp. I want to!!! I really do!!! But here's the thing...I think I need some new stamps ; )  I am kinda bored with what I have and I think my creativity would be sparked by some new stamps!!!! Any suggestions on a nice spring/easter type stamp set?????

So after I stare at my stamps for a while, I always seem to end up on my computer playing in Photo Shop Elements. And befoer I know it, I have another digi scrapbook page!!! I have been taking so many pics lately and I am doing more scrapbooking than I can ever remember!!!! This digi stuff makes it so fast and inexpensive. So here is my latest creation...

I took these photos on Monday when my hubby and I took the kids to a Diamondbacks Spring Training game down in Tucson. Can you believe that I have already scrapped them?!!! I am about the start working with my St. Patty's Day pics!!! I am loving this baseball kit. I got it from the Sweet Shoppe and it is called Peanuts and Cracker Jacks.

I actually went searching for baseball kits when I decided to sihn my son up for a 3 day baseball camp. Yesterday was the first day. And it was entertaining. He looked like he would make a good Right Fielder ; ) While everyone stretched out, he just stood there!!! And when they would throw a ball to him, he would duck. But the best part was that by the end of the 2 hour camp- he was down on the ground, with his butt sticking up in the air while the other boys were playing!!! It was funny to watch! After that, my mom and I decided to go get him a tee and a bat. So yesterday afternoon we took all of the kids to the park to play t ball. My daughters loved it. My son spent most of the time just sitting in the grass. Then last night before bed he said to me "Can I please go to school tomorrow instead of baseball camp?" Awww. I am guess he is not going to be an All Star baseball player any time soon!!! Oh well!!!! I won't let this fun kit go to waste!

I promise to start stamping. I really do!!!!

All About Me

Do you want to know some of my dirty little secrets???? Of course you do! I made a digi scrapbook layout that documents "Me" at this very moment. Check it out...

I often make layouts like this about my kids. Especially right around their birthdays. I documents all of their favorite shows, foods, toys, satyings, etc. But I rarely ever scrapbook about myself. In fact, I am not usually in an of the pictures after spending a day with my family. I am always behind the camera. But I believe that as my kids grow older, they will want to know more about their parents. So I am doing my best to remember to scrapbook about myself and my husband as well. This page was easy to put together as I used a Quick Page layout that I got. I just added the details. Fun!!!

Now go scrap about yourself! What are you waiting for?!!!

I have done some stamping. But nothing good enough to share with you!!! I showed the card to my husband and he said that "something is missing." So I am back to the drawing boards!!!! Soon! Cross your fingers for some stamping mojp (and energy) for me!

Why are you still reading this? You are supposed to be scrapping about yourself!!!!

Adorable Danika and a FREE Digi kit and wallpaper!

Super simple digi layout for you today!!!! And the best part (well other than the sweet pic of my daughter) is that I used a FREE kit to make the page!!!! If you want to download it, click HERE. But if you are a paper scrapper, this page would be easy to achieve that way as well. You could use ribbon, dsp, flower fusion and brads. Then you could stamp the title or even computer generate it.

Here is the screen saver/wallpaper on my computer for March...

It uses the same kit!!!! But....you don't even have to create this one!!! Click HERE to download the desktop. Add your own pictures and you're done!!!

Have a creative day!

Fueling the Imagination

I had the honor of taking my 5 year old son to get his first library card last week. It was a scrappable memory for sure!!!! I actually searched for digi kits before we even left for the library. I wanted to be prepared.

A lot of people have asked me about what program I use to do my digi scrapping. I use Photo Shop Elements 5.0. There are now new versions. But I definatly recomend this program. I use it for all my photo editing as well. I am not a fan of those scrapbooking programs that they sell at office stores. I personally think that they are cheesy and limiting. I will probably get a few comments about that one!!! But I am just giving my opinion. If you are new to digi scrapping- I would highly recommend taking an online class with Jessica Sprague. My very favorite place to buy digi kits is the Sweet Shoppe. And my very favorite (and informative) digi scrapping blog is the Daily Digi. I hope that all of these resources help you out!!!

Time to Hatch!!!

Look my hubby found in the small tree infront of our house....

It's a mommy dove who is sitting on 2 eggs!!!  I think that it is a sign that spring is here!!!! Afterall, it has been in the 70's and 80's since January!!!!

So here is my spring chick....

I liked this one came out in the end- but I have to admit that it took me a LONG time to come up with anything. I haven't stamped much lately and so it was hard to get started. My favorite part about this card is the ribbon treatment....

I have been all about buttons lately!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Adorable Me

So I had the 4 kids with me all day yesterday. We had quite a bit of fun....until I got my afternoon headache. Then I got a little irritable and tired. But overall- it went smooth!!! I was going to stamp last night so I would have something new for ya- but with my headache, I decided to just sit around watching TV!!!! I do have a digi layout that I can show you though. Are you guys getting sick of these yet? I hope not! They are so much fun to make!!!

Isn't my Laynee a cutie?!!! I LOVE her smile!

Everything that I used on this page came from a kit called Adorable Me. It can be purchased at the Sweet Shoppe.

I am off to do some fun activities with my son! I hope he doesn't wear me out too much!! Ha ha!

Finally did some stamping!!!

Last night, I finally got a little time to stamp!!! It has been busy around here with the kids, my stamp sale, and getting ready for my next adventure! But I needed a little stamping time!!! And I am very pleased with the results!

I used Baja Breeze and Old Olive ink and an aquapainter to color the flower...

I used a sketch that was part of a Paper Pretties challenge. I really want to use my Paper Pretties stamps- but I can't seem to color any of them well enough to put on a card!!!! So I used all Stampin' Up! on this one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Echos of Kindness

Paper: Parisian Breeze DSP, Chocolate Chip, Watercolor

Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Basic Gray

Other: Big Shot, Nestibilities, aquapainter, old olive brads, Chocolate Chip Corduroy brad

So, I am already having a bit of a bum day : (. My car keys have gone missing and so I can't bring the kids to school. So all 4 of them are running around making a huge mess, crying, and fighting with one another! And my hubby won't be home until tomorrow. So we are stranded.....

An update and a fun digi page!

I had such an amzing response to my stamp sale yesterday! I spent a couple of hours responding to email and sending Paypal invoices. But wouldn't you know it, no one got the invoices!!!!!!!!! I am not so sure why. But no worries- I will sit down and resend those invoices this afternoon. Sorry for the delay. There are still several sets for sale, so please scroll down to my last post and check them out!

I have not had any time to stamp : (  My hubby worked a lot over the weekend and so I had kid duty. And then yesterday I was so busy sending those invoices : (   Last night while I was in bed, I had the urge to sneek down to my craft room and do some stamping. He he he. I resisted since I knew I needed all the sleep I could get!!! But I do have a fun digi scrapbook page to show you. I am having the best time making these!!!!!

Yummy!!!! I love the bright colors!!!! And of course, I think that Laynee looks ADORABLE!!!!! I just took the picture on Sunday!!! And I already scrapped it!!! I love to scrap the pictures that I am most excited about! I can't wait to get this page printed at Cosco and stick it in her album!

I used this really fun and bright kit from the Sweet Shoppe called Baby Brights. You will be seeing more of this kit for sure!!!

Ok- I am off to story time at the library with my son. And then back here to send invoices again. And then I am going to stamp!!!! See ya tomorrow!

An Update

I am so sorry. I know that many of you were waiting for me to put my stamps up for sale yesterday. But I had a crappy morning. I was at a meeting (with friends) and I had all my money from my open house stolen from inside my purse. I felt very violated and upset and so I never did get to put the stamps up for sale. Instead, I spent most of the night nursing a headache. And I STILL have the headache.

I hope you will forgive me!!! I will unpack the stamps tomorrow and they will be up for sale first thing on Monday morning.

ABC Book

My son, Kyler, is 5 and learning the sounds that letters make. He does not like learning about letters!!! I thought that a fun ABC book might make the task a little more fun. And since I am currently on a digi scrapping kick- I decied to go that route. I used this kit. Here are the first few pages in the book...

Isn't it fun?! And since all the pages are just 4x6- it will be really cheap to print at Walgreens or Snapfish!!! I can even make a couple extra for my girls!!!

I will be back this afternoon with stamp sets that I have for sale!!!

Have a crafty day!

Top Note Clutch Purse

After hours and hours of cleaning and organizing- I found a little time yesterday to craft!!! My room is still a bit messy. But I have taken lots of stuff out so I should be able to find a home for all the stuff that is currently littering my desk and floor!!!

Tomorrow, I am supposed to bring the ladies at my MOPS table a little gift. The theme of the gift is "something girly." My co table leader got them some lip gloss and nail polish and asked if I could make a box. Of course!!!! I think this top note clutch purse will fir the gift perfectly and it is very girly!!!

I used some tiny little maganets by Basid Grey to keep the purse closed...

Isn't that fun?!!!!

I have seen lots of little purses and boxes in blogland- but I made mine up from my own crazy head. So here are the demensions.

-Start with a piece of cardstock that is 5x6

-Score along the 6 inch side at 1inch and 5 inches

-Score along the 5 inch side at 2 and 3

-Use sticky strip to put the box together.

-Use the Top Note die to cut the lid from DSP

-Score the top note at approx. 1 1/4 and 2 1/4

-Add large eyelets and a ribbon handle to the center of the top note

-Adhere to the back of the box with sticky strip.

-Add a small magnet to keep the purse closed.

-Decorate if desired!!!

About my sale:

I had my sale last night!!! I sold a lot of stuff. Bet here is the good news....I still have a rubbermaid bin full of stamp sets and wheels!!!! I will put them up on my blog tomorrow afternoon. Sorry for the delay, but I still have to make 8 more of these purses, go grocery shopping, etc. etc.

Recipe:

Paper: Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink

Other: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Yop Note Die, Large eyelets, crop a dile, old olive ribbon, small magnets by Basic Grey, Certainly Celery Button, linin thread

Happy

I have been busy, busy, busy cleaning out my stamp room!!! It is amazing how much SU! paperwork I had shoved in a closet!!! And I am getting rid of sooo much stuff!!! It is very exciting. But since you have to make a mess before you can properly organize a space- I have not been able to stamp or craft for the past few days : ( I can't wait to get this finished so I can get crafty again!!!! But in the mean time, I have another digi layout for you.

I used the same kit as I did on my last digi layout. The best part of digi scrapping is getting to use the same stuff over and over witlhout running out!!! Fun! And isn't my son super hnadsome?!

I best get back to the closet that needs attention!

Scallop Treat Box

I cannot believe that it is already Monday!! Where did the weekend go? My family was so very busy. I didn't even get to touch a stamp : (  But I did take 300 pictures! I will have lots of stuff to scrapbook!!! But will I ever have the time?!!!

Today I have a cute little treat box to show you using the scallop envelope die and the Big Shot Die Cut machine.

Doesn't it look so fun and "springy"? Since it was 90 degrees here this weekend- I am in a sping mood. The box is easy to make. You cut out 2 of the scallop envelopes and then trim the bottom flaps so that they are the same size as the side flaps. Then, just attach them with some sticky strip and decorate!!! I added some Tea Party DSP and a butterfly made with my Big Shot and the same DSP.

I am hoping to get a lot of cleaning done in my stamp room today so that I will be ready for my sale on Wednesday!!!

Recipe:

Paper: Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink

Other: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Scallop Envelope Die, Beautiful Butterflies Die, Pink Taffeta Ribbon
