Scrappy Saturday

I love that even when life gets way too busy to papercraft, I can still whip up a digi scrapbook page while laying in bed watching cartoons with the kids : )

Late weekend we took the kids on their first camping trip. It was lots of fun and the kids keep asking when we can go again.

Here are a couple quick and fun layouts that I made to document the trip....

Have a GREAT weekend!!!! We are busy as usual!!! And then on Monday.....I start school!!!!

Your Special Day

My husband celebrated his 28th birthday last week. He had school all day, but I still wanted to make his day special. So the girls and I filled his car with balloons. And then he came home to a brand new grill. You really would have gotten a  laugh out of seeing me buy, load, and unload this grill with 3 little ones at my feet. Fun times!!! Well you can't have a grill and not have a BBQ. So I secretly invited some of Scott's friends and family over for a surprise birthday BBQ. So his whole day was full of surprises! And it will be hard to top next year!!!! But I will worry about that in another 11 months or so!

So here is the first scrapbook page I made of his birthday....

Everything comes from a kit called Little Mr. Big Man and I got it from the Sweet Shoppe.

Soaring by to say hi!!!

A new project- two days in a row- are you proud of me?! I sometimes miss the days when I blogged a new project every single day. I had so much more time to stamp. But most of the time, I am 100% happy with my decision to focus more on the kids and quit my business. These kids will only be this little once!

Enough of me being sappy! Here is ANOTHER card I made using the Papertrey stamp set Everyday Button Bits......

I swear I will be showing you some projects using a couple new stamp sets I got from SU!!! Next week!!! But when I got this set- I was so inspired that I whipped up like 5 cards in just a couple hours.

For this one I sponged some clouds with Bashful Blue ink. I also used that fancy Eyelet border punch from SU. The rest is from Papertrey Ink. Can you tell that I am starting to get a bit addicted to this cute little stamp company?!!!

Have a fantastic weekend! I will be back tomorrow with a fun digi scrapbook page!

All things grow with love.....and buttons!

Ok it took much longer than I thought it would to get my desktop up and running! But the good news is that everything is set up now and I have some things to show you the next few days!

First, I have another card using the Papertrey Ink stamp set called Everyday Button Bits. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this set?!!! If you don't have it- you NEED it!!! And you may as well get some of those cute Papertrey buttons while you at it!

All of the cardstock, ribbon, buttons, and stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I didn't have the green ink to match so I used Wild Wasabi and it matched perfectly!

Have a great night!!!

Scrappy Saturday

Our home renovation project is complete! I have a new crafting space with a brand new desk set. All my craft supplies are not in their new home yet. It is going to take me a while to figure out how to reorganize the supplies!! And I promise I will post pics as soon as we put some pictures on the wall and little stuff like that!!!

So I have several cards that I have been dying to show you, but the pics are on my desktop. And my hubby hasn't set that back up yet. It is burried in the front closet with my craft supplies. I think I will have him get that set up tomorrow so I can be up and running next week. AGAIN, thanks for the patience!

In the meantime, I have a fun and simple scrapbook layout for ya....

All the elements on this page were made with a cute kit called Weatherman. It has all kinds of fun elements for any time of the year!!!

I hope to be back on Monday with some fun cards!!!

I Chair-Ish Your Friendship!!!

I have some of the best friends a girl could ask for. You know- the kind that always make you laugh, are there for all the hard times, and totally get who I am!!! I made this sweet friendship card and now I can't decide which friend to send it to!!! I think I am going to have to make a bunch more!!!

This stamp comes from another Papertrey set that I recently ordered. I think (but I am not certain) it is called On the Couch. It's very cute and I especially like all the sentiments. And I am patting myself on the back for making so many cards recently without patterned paper!!! That is unheard of for me!!!!

I have several cards ready to show you. Which is a good thing, because I packed up all my stamping supplies!!!! We are emptying out my craft room and giving it a new paint job (no more pink with green polka dots!). Then it is going to be the new toy room for the kids!!! Right now the toy room is my front room. It is decorated like a little pre school. But it drives me nuts!!! Anytime someone comes over to the house, I have to make the kids clean up all the toys. It's such a pain. So now they will have a separate room for toys that has a door!!!! And I am going to be desk shopping and re-painting the front room- so I can craft there. I figure that I am better at cleaning up after myself than the kids are! Wish us luck with this big project!!! It will be interesting to see how we manage to do it with 4 kids under foot!

Sending Birthday Wishes

Happy Semptember!!! I live in Arizona- so September is still a really hot month. The high today is 110. Yuck!!!

Here is another simple card made using the Papertrey stamp set called Everyday Button Bits.....

I did a little sponging to make clouds- but that is kind of hard to see in the picture. The buttons and the ribbon are also from Papertrey Ink. The color is called New Leaf and I like it!!!! Probably because it looks VERY similar to Wild Wasabi!!! In fact I used Wild Wasabi ink for the sentiment!!!! The base of the card is Bashful Blue from SU. I think the 2 colors go together well. And I used the SU! Polka Dot Background stamp to add a little something to the bottom of the card.

I seem to be on a kick of making very simple cards. I love the nice clean look of them!

Hey There, Chickadee!

Oh my gosh, I am in love with this stamp set that I just got from Papertrey Ink!!!! It's called Everyday Button Bits. And all the stamps are designed to be used with buttons!!! I think they made it for me! I LOVE LOVE buttons!!!!!

So here is one of the first cards that I made with it. It is super simple, but cute!

Do you see that button (also from Papertrey Ink)??? I stamped the legs and tail and beak first. Then I glued the button down. Finally I stamped the wing on white cardstock and cut it out. I attached it to the button with a some glue dots. Then I had to raid my kid's craft supplies for the googly eye!!! And I just love when a stamp set has sentiments to go along with the images! And there are so many stamps in the set- so you will be seeing a lo more of these button creations!!!!

Have a fabulous Monday!!!

Scrapbook Sunday!

More digi scrapping.....

I just love scrapbook page that document the fun, everyday details of my family's life!!!

Best Wishes for the Bride

I am going to my soon-to-be sisiter in law's wedding shower on Saturday. I HAD to make the card! I mean I haven't bought a card in like 3 years!!!! Bought it had to be quick since I only had a few minutes during kid nap time to stamp!

The wedding colors are Baby Blue (how dare them not know SU colors?!!!) and Chocolate Brown. So I went with Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip. Plus I added in some White because it seems like a wedding color! I usued Baraque Motifs stamp set and embossed the swirls with clear embossing powder. The sentiment came from some old SU rub ons. And the hat pin and pearls came from the Pretties kit.

It is pretty simple. But I think it is elegant and much better than store bought!

Getting in touch with my glitter side!

Thank you for the encouarging comments and emails! I appreciate those of you that have stuck with me these past several months.

Today I have a Christmas card to show you that I made last month at a class taught by my former up-upline, Amy Smith.

This is not a color combo that I would have picked on my own, but that's another great reason to keep going to classes- they stretch you. And you can't see it in the picture, by each of the snowflake has dazzling diamons in the center which gives the card a really nice twinkle. I almost never use glitter at my house. But I ws happy to use it at Amy's house!!!

I am not sure what stamp set the snowflakes came from.  What can I say?! I am not a demo anymore!!! But the sentiment comes from the hostess set Christmas Punch and the background pattern was made with the set Itty Bitty Backgrounds.

Hope you have a creative day!!!

Happiness is a pedicure!

I actually have a card to show.....but it's not photographed! I am having a hard time getting used to our new school schedules! I feel like we get up too early and I am just exhausted the rest of the day! And I am starting to feel more and more like a taxy cab driver every day!!! Four kids with various activities is wearing me down!!! But I will get used to it and find my crafty time again VERY soon!

In the meantime, here is a quick digi layout for you using a cute kit called Hop Skip Jump. I like the fun and bright colors! The pictures were taken on my youngest's 3rd birthday...

Back To School Teacher Gift

My oldest just started Kindergarden this week. Where is the world has the time gone?! When we were shopping for school supplies, Kyler asked me if I would help him make a present for his teacher. Isn't that sweet?!! I just thought it was adorable. And of course I helped him!!! We made his Teacher, Mrs. Rivera, a folder full of Monogram stationary. (Sorry about the pictures. I forgot to take pics until we got to school that morning!)

And here is a scrapbook page I made  with the pics of my little guy on his first day of school...

I am warning you that things are super crazy around here. We have a few health concerns to deal with. Plus my hubby and I both start school on Monday. So bear with me as I try and get used to a new schedule and so forth. I promise I will be back. I miss my stamping so much!

Pretty Thank You

My card today uses the Paper Pretties SOTM from June. I don't know the name : ( It didn't have a label on it. But it has become my very favorite Paper Pretties stamp so far!!!!! This one really reminds me of my little girls since I always dress them in dresses and big hair bows!!!!  These will be great for their birthday thank you notes.

Ok here is a close-up of the coloring. I have been practicing, but still have a ways to go!

I just love paper piecing her dress!!!!! So fun!!! The paper is a retired pack from Stampin' Up! And the colors are Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, and Regal Rose.

I have a scrapbook page for you tomorrow!

Thank You

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger this week. I let life get the best of me and then when I got behind I had trouble motivating myself to back in the groove! Thanks for sticking it out!

Since my birthday was last week and I have 3 of my kids bdays coming up next week, I have been busy making thank you cards. Here is a simple one that I CASED from Andrea Walford. I changed mine up a bit, but the inspiration came from her. And I used the Season of Friendship stamp set AGAIN! I just love that set!!!!

The colors are Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, and Regal Rose. I am a huge fan of this color combo!!!!

See you tomorrow!

Christmas in July- Day 4

Here is the fourth card that I made in Amy Smith's class. It's pretty simple but took a while to cut out all those trees!

My favorite part of this card is the embossed dots on the card base. Used the Big Shot for that! We also got to use a new punch for the sentiment.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!! I am getting all excited because tomorrow is my birthday!!! Yay!!!!

See ya!

Christmas in July- Day 3

Here is another simple Christmas card from the class I took from Amy Smith last weekend....

Have a nice night!

Christmas in July- Day Two

The card today is one of my very favorites from the class that Amy Smith taught on Saturday. I love that it is simple enough to make in bulk and yet it has that extra special touch! Plus, it uses the Big Shot and I love that thing!!!

The stamp is from a new hostess set called Christmas Punch. The patterned paper is new too (and gorgious!!!) and called Merry Moments. The front of the card was cut with the Big Shot and the Movers and Shapers Curly Label die. The the sentiment was punched with the Curly Label punch and placed on the inside of the card. It was very simple and fast!!!

I will be back with another one tomorrow!

Christmas in July- Day One

Sorry I am soooo late today! But, like I said, I have a Christmas card to show you each day this week. And they all use some stuff from the new Stampin' Up catalog. Now I cannot take credit for these cute cards!!!! I made them at a class on Saturday taught by a great friend, Amy Smith. I have showed you some of her work before. She is very talented : )

This first card uses the new set Circle Circus and the color combo is Real Red, Old Olive, and More Mustard.

Isn't it cute? And you could really use just about any sentiment with this card!

Come back tomorrow for another Christmas card!!!!

Sorry....

I am running a little behind getting my posts ready for this week. But I do have Christmas cards to show you all week. I will have one up later this afternoon so come back!!!!

Why I don't stamp more.....

I have a scrapbook layout for you today! I spend waaaaay too much ime on Facebook these days. So I thought it would be fun to include a layout about that in my album. (Facebook is the reason I don't get to stamp as much as I should!) The little conversation bubbles include samples of my Facebook updates from the past couple of months.

Have a happy Thursday!

Christmas in July

I know that some of you think I am a little strange for making Christmas cards when it is 110 degrees outside. But come December- I want to have lots of cards ready to go so I can focus on other things like baking and shopping!!! So here is another card that I made using my copic markers. I am not going to lie- this card took me FOREVER to make!!! Ha ha!

The stamp set is from Stampin' Up! and is called Holiday Line Up. I used this one quite a bit last year. I think all the images are adorable and fun to color when you are in the mood!!!

Time to Celebrate

I have always loved the Stampin' Up! set A Little Birdie because it i so much fun to paper piece. But I got brave on this one and colored the birdies with my copic markers. Fun! It's a little hard to read the sentiment in this picture but it says "A little birdie told me....it's time to celebrate!"

BTW- the patterned paper is retired and called Maine Blueberry.
