Hi!

Just a quick and simple card for you today! I am busy with the kiddos and I have my scrapbook club this afternoon as well!

For this card I mixed some SU! supplies and some of my Making Memories stuff. I actually have a Making Memories kit that I have used for a bunch of scrapbook pages and so I used some of the extras for a few cards. I will show you the scrapbook pages later this week!!!

Teacher Cards

My kids had their preschool end-of-year ceremony on Thursday night. It was so cute!!! Seeing your 2 year olds sing Itsy Bitsy Spider makes a mommy proud. My son was so excited- but in the end got stage fright and just sat on the stairs to the stage with his hands over his ears. Still cute! I made their teacher some thank you cards with some paper and embellishments I got at a CKC over a year ago! I also used SU! ABC lower alphabet and cardstock.

I am not sure who makes this patterned paper or the embellishment. Sorry! I have had them for so long! The cardstock and ink is Real Red and Whisper White. I added a little Real Red ribbon. I never use this thin ribbon anymore!

The lined paper is from Adornit and the number paper is from Basic Grey. The cardstock is Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. And I added a few SU! brads.

I hope they liked!

Scrapbook Happy!!

Ok here are some non-SU! scrapbook layouts- as promised. You could always copy the layout with SU! products. I was just having some fun with some things I had on hand. All of these layouts were made with one paper pad and some coordinating embellishments! The brand is K and Company.
The journaling says "Never in 1,000,000 years did I think I would be blessed with FOUR beautiful babies."

I loved this little "Smile-O-Meeter"! I used a glue dot to make the arrow stay at "Ear to Ear Grin." Another cool thing- the yellow dp has lines on it like notebook paper. This made it very quick to add my journaling in my own handwriting!

I am always scrapbooking pics of the kids so it was fun to do a simple layout about my hubby and I. And I used some more dp with lines to add the journaling!

I hope you enjoy! Tomorrow I am going to post some thank you cards that I made for my kid's preschool teachers.

BTW- It is day 11 of the diet. It is not as hard anymore. I have given up Coke!! And I have been going to the gym 4 times per week. I have not lost a single pound yet : (

A New Look!

I was playing around on my blog last night and made some cool changes!!! Don't you love that cute banner?! Also, thanks to a fellow blogger (Hi, Vivian!), I figured out how to add the feedbitz email update option. Now you can put your email addy in and get a message when I update my blog. I didn't even know what a blog was 6 months ago- so I think I have come a long way!!!

I participated in another challenge!!! I made this card for Kristina Werner's color challenge.

The colors are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Tempting Torquoise. You were also supposed to use So Safron- but I replaced it with Whisper White. It just worked better for me with these bright colors!!

Recipe:

Stamps: Just Celebrate

Paper: Jersey Shore DSP, Whisper White, Old Olive,

Ink: Old Olive

Other: Die Cut Blooms, Flower Fusion, Bold Brights Brads, Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon

I have a bunch of scrapbook pages to post tomorrow!!! They are non-SU! pages. But they are still cute so come back and check them out!

Two Challenges in One

I have not participated in a challenge in quite some time and so last night I thought I would do 2 challenges!
First- Beate's Be Inspired Challenge-

I was inspired by the pretty color combo and the elegance of the bedding.

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge as well.

And this is what I came up with.

Recipe:

Stamps: True Friend, Hugs and Wishes

Paper: Western Sky DSP, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Ink: Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky

Other: Rhinestone Brads (Pretties Kit), sponge, Chocolate Chip Marker, Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky ribbons

Happy Stamping!!!

the BEST Card ever and Scrapbook club

Are you ready for the BEST card ever???? My hubby made me my Mother's Day card!! Isn't that sweet?!He even colored those flowers from the pretties kit!

I FINALLY came up with the scrapbook layout for my clubs!!! We will be doing this 2 page Mother's Day layout.

The stamps are Big Deal Alphabet and Embrace Life. The colors are Taken with Teal, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink. I asked all my club members to bring pictures of themselves from Mother's Day. I know that I hardly ever scrapbook about myself so I hope this will inspire them to include more pics of themselves in their albums.

I used a white gel pen around the stamped title to give it a little more interests.
I also wanted my clubs to get to make a card. Here is what I cam up with-

I cased this card from one that Christina Werner did a while back. I used the Three for You punch, silver brads, and the paper piercing tool. The cardstock on the front is actually Shimmery White and very pretty in real life! The colors are Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, and Groovy Guava. I will be so sad when these colors retire!

Happy Stamping!

I have an ebay store!!!!

I have been selling my cards for some time now and I have started to get requests from people who view my blog. So I started an ebay store!

http://stores.ebay.com/Stampin-Mommy-of-4

Check it out! I don't have much listed yet. Hey- I want to play with my Copics!!! But I will work on getting more listed this week.

Mom's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!! I am the luckiest mom out there! I have four of the most beautiful kiddos! They made me breakfast in bed this morning!!! The gave me home-made cards AND.....

COPIC Markers!!!!!!

I have no idea how to use them yet but I intend to figure it out!

Today I am going to be showing you a couple non-SU creations that I made yesterday.
First- this is the card that I made to give to my mom when she comes over for dinner today.
The large flower was one that I found buried in my stash. I used my Pink Passion marker to color it. The little white one came in a container of flowers in the wedding section at Michael's. The pattern paper is so pretty! You can't tell in the picture, but it it glittery! (made by DCWV) I paired it with Certainly Celery Cardstock and ribbon and a rhinestone brad. The sentiment is from my Papertrey Women of Life set. I hope she likes!!

This card I made for my husband's grandmother. She just found out that she has breast cancer. I wanted her to know that we are thinking about her and keep her health in our prayers. Can you tell that I love this layout?!!! I just love the big 3d flower look! The patterned paper (by Making Memories) is glittery on all the polka dots! The flowers are also by Making Memories. I paired it with Old Olive cardstock and ribbon and another Rhinestone brad. The sentiment comes from the Essence of Love stamp set in the Occasions Mini.

I made this scrapbook layout yesterday to document my feelings about being a mom to these four babies! I have always wanted to do this but I never seem to get around to it with holidays, birthdays and other portraits that I want to scrap. I actually started out by making a card with those Making Memories chipboard letter, die cuts and flowers. And then the scrapbook layout came to me! I added the card to the layout so that I would have a little secret place to include my jornaling.

The cardstock is SU! Old Olive and Pretty in Pink. The ribbon is SU! Old Olive. All the flowers, buttons, die cuts and chipboard are by Making Memories. And the patterned paper is by Marcella K.

Have a Happy Mother's Day! And please remember to pray for those who cannot be with their Mothers, children, and/or wives today. Also pray for those who have not been blessed with a child yet.

Scrapbooking Mojo has left the building!

I tried scrapbooking yesterday. I NEED a layout for my scrapbook clubs. But nothing seemed to work!!! My biggest prob- I love to use patterned paper on my layouts. But with the number of people in my clubs- it is too expensive to buy multiple packs of paper for them to use. I have to try and make my layout with mainly just cardstock, stamps, and ribbon. And sometimes that can be a challenge for me!

But I have been promising some scrapbook layouts. So I dug through some pics and found some oldies but goodies to share with you. I hope you enjoy!!! (All Su products- however some of the stamps and DSP are retired.)

And the winner is...

stampin' cats!!!

Email me at sears1130@cox.net with your mailing address and which pack of designer series paper you would like!

Thanks again to everyone for all the sweet comments on my diet and my cards! I am working on a scrapbook layout for tomorrow. Cross your fingers that it comes together!

Still no scrapbook layout...

Actually I didn't stamp at all yesterday! The day just flew by! I had fun talking twins with Kati yesterday and by the time she left it was already 2 hours past my lunch time! But I do have an idea for a scrapbook layout and as soon as the kids leave for school- I am going to scrap!!!!

Here is the last of the 5 cards that we will be making at my Pretties class in a couple weeks. This picture does this card no justice! The large flower was covered in versamark ink and then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder. It is so sparkly! And the small flower was stamps in Barely Banana ink with the polka dot background stamp! The sentiment and the butterflies in the background are from the Live Your Dream set (which is my fave right now!).

I am looking foward to pizza for dinner tonight! Can you believe my 1200 calorie diet allows for a Friday pizza dinner?!

Day 3 of diet! And pretties!

It's Day Three!

Yesterday I did so well that I actually have 240 calories left in the evening and so I had a treat!! Plus I went to the gym yesterday! Thanks so much for the well wishes. I will be drawing a winner of the blog candy tomorrow evening so be sure to check out the post below.

I made this card for my Pretties class at the end of the month. I just love those hat pins in the pretties kit!And the DSP is my favorite- Afternoon Tea. The stamp set in Bloomin' Beautiful. I hope that my class will like this one! What do you think?

My sweet downline, Kati, is coming over this morning. She is pregnant with twin girls!! I LOVE twin girls!!! We are going to try and come up with a design for her baby announcements. And catch up! Can't wait! And hopefully I will get to that scrapbooking today.

Some simple cards!

Thanks for all the sweet words of encouragement on my post yesterday! And if you haven't checked out my post from yesterday- you better. I am giving away Designer Series Paper! Leave a comment before Friday evening.

I have a couple simple- but pretty- cards to share today. They both use the same color combo: River Rock, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava and Whisper White. I think that the colors look so soft and pretty together!

In this card I used my Always stamp set. I can't believe that I have hardly used that set! It is not even completely mounted!! And it is so pretty! The little flower I punched out with my Three for you punch. I have a confession. I bought that Three for You box nearly a year ago and this is the first time that I have used it! Very sad!! And look how sweet that little flower is. I actually smudged a little ink right there and needed something to cover it up!!! Sometimes the best creations start as a mistake!

With this card I use my Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. I wasn't crazy about this set when I first saw it in the Occasions mini. But I have changed my mind!!! I love coloring in the flowers! This time I stamped it two times and cut a few of the petals out and mounted them on top of my main image (poppin' flowers- as my hubby calls it!). I also used my It's Your Birthday set for the sentiment and added some pearls from the Pretties kit. The layout came from one of Jen's sketches a few weeks ago. Like this one?? It is going to be one of the 5 projects in my I feel Pretty Class at the end of the month. I only have a couples spaces left so email me right away if you are interested. sears1130@cox.net

I am hoping to get some scrapbooking done today for my clubs. See you tomorrow!

Day One of the Diet and CANDY!

I have NEVER been on a diet. Until today. My hubby signed us up for some free fitness consultation yesterday. I wasn't happy about it- but I went. And, just as I suspected, they made me feel guilty about my eating habits (which are horrendous!!!). And so they challenged me to go on a 1200 calorie diet for 2 months. 1200 calories!!!!! Do you realize that if I have a heart attack today and go into the hospital for lunch- they will give me 2000 calories per day?!!! If I went to prison today- I would get 2000 calories. That means that this diet is going to be worse than going to the hospital or to jail!!

So for breakfast I had one waffle with a tiny bit of margarine and a teaspoon of low fat syrup with a glass of water (190 calories). That was 2 hours ago and now I am starved!!! My hubby says that if I drink enough water then I won't be hungry. I drank water. Now I just have to pee! And the Cucumber Melon candle in the bathroom smells yummy! So yummy that I want to eat!!!

I also have a splitting headache. Have I ever mentioned that I am a Coke addict? The soda kind, of course. Well soda does not really fit into my 1200 calories so it has to be cut. This is day 2 without soda. I am hurting!!! Someone please tell me that this is going to get easier!!!! Two months seems like a long time!

But the good news- I have made about 5 cards already this morning!!!! I would show some to you, but neither of my camera batteries are charged!!! He he he! And, OMG, I just realized that my blog counter has gone over 10,000 hits!! I know that is nothing compared to some of the blogs I like to visit- but I think it is a big deal. A big enoug deal- that I am giving away Blog Candy (yummy, candy!!!). I am giving away a pack of Stampin' Up! designer series patterned paper!!!! You can pick whichever one you want! And all you have to do to win is leave me a comment on this post. I will use rondom.org to choose a winner at 7PM on Friday night. Good Lunck!

TGIM!!

Thank Goodness it's Monday!!!!! My hubby has the day off and the kids have preschool! Hopefully I will be able to recoop from my crazy weekend and get some stamping done for my classes and clubs this month.

I actually made a card last night! I was exhausted but I was very determined to make something! And I love what I came up with!! I had to try those new die cut blooms from the Occasions Mini. I am loving them!!!! I paired them with my flower fusion kit, Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon, the Just Celebrate Stamp set (for the sentiment), and the Boroque Motifs set. What do you think??? I love hearing from you!

An Oldie

Ok I am exhausted!!! Four kids really can gang up on you! I took them to the park and then they ran home. I couldn't catch up to them! Just picture three toddlers running down the sidewalk. Then mom- carrying a baby- is about 3o yards behind them screaming "Stop!!! You're not listening!!!! Do you want a time out?!!!!" As I ran by- one neighbor commented that it looked like I was having fun. Fun, indeed. So maybe I am the Oldie tonight. I kinda feel like it!!

Anyway- I just got them to bed (about 3 hours past their bedtime) and I am pooped. So I am uploading this card I made for my hubby a couple weeks ago. It is all Papertrey products and stamps- excapt for SU! hodgepodge hardware and Night of Navy ink. I handed it to my husband and then asked him if I could have it back! He's getting used to that!
