Cards for Nolan and BLOG CANDY!

Thanks for hanging in there and sending such sweet emails. I know that I promised you blog candy yesterday- but honestly, I just went to bed early. Nolan's death has really gotten to me and I just needed some time to myself.

This morning, after I got ready for my workshop (that's today!) I made a set of Thank You notes to donate to Nolan's store. I really hope that you will visit the store- the link is in my last post. The cards are simple. I used my Baroque Motifs set again! The colors are Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery. The sentiment is from So Many Sayings in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

A great big thank you and a hug to my super sweet customers that have been sending me their orders to benefit Nolan's family. Every little bit helps!

And on to the blog candy!!! I am celebrating my 1 year anniversary as an SU demonstrator! I am having a blast! I have met some of the sweetest people! So- this week I am giving away a set of the A Perfect Day Rub-Ons from the Occasions Mini. They are soooo stinkin' cute and would be perfect for summer scrapbook pages and cards! All you have to do to win is leave me a comment on this post telling me a favorite color combo of your's. I am always looking for new color combos and so I want your ideas!

My favorite right now is Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky, and Wild Wasabi.

The absolute best thing about blogging is that you probaly now have people who didn't even know Nolan, praying for Nolan's family. I have asked God for healing and understanding for your friend.

My favorite color combo right now is pretty in pink, certainly celery, and close to coccoa.

Color combos, I really like last week's color challenge on SCS: taken with teal, pumpkin pie and soft sky.
Also love blues and browns.
And pinks and browns.

Beautiful cards! I am off to etsy to see if I can buy them. My prayers are with you and Nolan's family.

I like combining regal rose and rose red. You can add bravo burgundy or pretty in pink to the mix, too. Works well when you're using floral sets.

My favorite combination is just about any shade of pink with any shade of green. Looks so much like spring--and I like the thoughts of that!

This is my first time leaving a comment on your blog, I love your ideas and your cards, so darling. Little Nolan really touched my heart, I saw that he was born on the same day as my little boy, Jan. 2, mine was born in 2007, so for a long time this morning I was walking around teary eyed . I just felt such empathy for this family, I pray that they will be comforted in their time of need. I am also looking into donating something to try and help them out. My fave color combo right now is Cameo Coral and Old Olive, and the cards I've been using this combo on are usually a tan background. So cute together! Brittney

I can't remember how I came across your blog, but I wanted to comment and let you know that I love your cards! You are SO talented!

Also, I have been praying for and will continue to pray for Nolan's family.

I don't know the Stampin' Up official colors (as I've never used their products), but I am really into the pink and chocolate combo these days! :)

What a tragic story for Nolan's family - I am sitting here with tears and I want to do the same as you - go get my babies and squeeze them. I hope that your fundraiser gets lots of money for the family.

My favorite color combo is soft sky, white and chocolate chip. At least, it is today.

I am SO sorry to hear about the loss of your friend's son. My son was in the NICU for nearly 2 weeks with serious complications, and I was just beside myself with the thought that it was a real possibility that I might not ever be able to bring him home. My heart and condolences go out to Nolan's family, and my prayers are with them.

My favorite color combination would be any shade of blue with a subtle yellow.

It is a difficult thing to watch your friends suffer when you can't do anything to "fix it". However, your friendship and generosity towards this family will mean more to them than you will ever realize. In time they will see God's comfort and blessings through friends like you.

One of my favorite combo's is the one I just used for my daughter's birthday invitations, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac. Her birthday party yesterday and your post today remind me how incredibly thankful I should be each and every day! May bless Nolan's family in ways they could never dream of.
